It might take you a while to get the perfect distance for your laptop. My 15 MacBook Pro took about 10 minutes. It is difficult to make sure that the distance from both sides is the same. Even with all the work you will be left a little underwhelmed with the amount of movement. Thankfully they have covered the interior with a protective rubber-like material so the edges should be fine.
