When we unboxed it, the roof was not attached. There are tiny nails and glue thats supposed to hold it on, but almost all the nails were bent flat. You can see the nails in the second picture, but I already bent them back up. Its much larger than I was expecting, but its very nice looking and the entry is a decent size. I think the guinea pigs will love it after its replaced/fix d.

Seriously adorable. We modified our C and C cage and made two second floors. Our girls love each other but they prefer their own special little lairs. This house fits perfectly in the corner of a 2x1. It doesn’t sit great on any padded cage liner, so if you’re going to put it on any of the fluffy fleece liners you’ll have to adjust the liner so that it sits straight. Not a huge deal. We have a thinner liner in their upstairs so it sits perfect. Waiting for it to come back in stock so I can order another! I can hear my girls chewing on it a little, but it’s natural for them to chew on wood. They seem to love it and it’s good for their teeth. May have to replace it in a year or two if they chew too much? But totally worth it.

This is my pigs’ favorite hidey. I’ve gotten two to this point and it’s only downfall is that you need to be diligent in keeping pee-soaked bedding off it’s surface because it will absorb it and ruin the wood. Just spot clean under the hidey and it’s not an issue though!

I expected this house for 35 dollars to be way bigger and more durable than it actually is. My pigs have already chewed and damaged the wood and there is absolutely no way 2 piggies could fit one barely does. Just beware you could find something better for cheaper.

My piggies and I are loving this addition to their cage. It is very spacious while still saving space in the cage. The opening is nice and big and they have fun on the top of it too.

Love it! The piggies love it. Great place for them to hide. And my one piggie loves to chew on it. So I do love that I know where it is made and is made with materials that she can chew on and I don’t have to worry about it being toxic to her. I have had several different cages and it fits perfect in all of them. Just slides right into a corner. They can sit on top or inside. Which works great because my girls don’t always get along.

I got one of these huts over 2 years ago and its just now getting to the point where it needs to be replaced so I was expecting another high quality product. For one, the side walls are now unfinished wood, which is fine and honestly probably safer for guinea pigs to chew. But I ordered one of the ones with the fixed top, like I had before, and it was pretty dirty on the top and it had a large area on the side where glue had dripped all the way from the roof down to the bottom and dried. That is definitely not safe for the guinea pigs if they were to chew that area. I assumed it was a fluke so I asked for a replacement but the second one had the exact same problem and actually was an even bigger drip area. Not sure if this is a production issue or a quality control issue or what but it definitely has discouraged me from getting another.
