When my friend recommended Pixio to me I was a bit hesitant because of their price tag. However, I bit the bullet and bought the monitor when it was on sale. The picture is crisp and the settings allow for a rather dynamic set of changes. You can also save different profiles into the monitor itself so you can easily have a few different picture modes along side the ones that come standard. The on-screen FPS display is a bit too big for my liking, but its still cool they include the feature. The crosshair is super useful, since it can not only be re-positioned, but theres a few variations on the style too. No more putting a piece of tape on the screen and drawing a dot here, and no need to buy some silly laser-dot string to put on your monitor either. Theres also a timer built into the screen but I havent actually made use of that just yet. All in all, its a great monitor and well worth the money, sale or not. But do pay attention to which model youre buying. The 248 and 248S are almost identical, but the 248S is a bit smaller in height (like 2-4cm or so) and has a higher refresh rate (144hz vs this one at 120).

Owned now for 3ish months. Pretty much none stop abuse between family. Short version. Perfect condition, Contrast is off, fixed with PC RGB. Hat switch not broken just lazy. Long version. Bought for xboxonex. The price/size/specs fit our needs to not ty up tv. Monitor arrived perfect condition. Well boxed, NO bleed, NO dead pixels that i can see. Very Happy. Some reviews stated contrast is off and Yep, contrast is off for my eyes to. And no settings compisate for it. No luck trying known settings. I found a setting iam darn sure ive never seen/used before called pc rgb. Wich flags a warning!!! this setting extremely darkens screen. And no joke its dark. Had to counter with monitor brightness maxed out. Absolutely fixed mine. Do like screens a bit on bright side. Probably some wiggle room on max bright for most peeps. Biggie is i now have ingame and monitor presets for useable Options/adjustments. Games/movies for my eyeballs, looks wonderful. Did have both pc and xbox hdmi,s plugged in and powered on when i made the setting. PC rgb setting did stick. No intensions of having pc hooked up full time. And have not after day 1. Xboxonex Side by side same game running on last years 24inch LG gaming pc monitor glad to say looks great considering the huge difference in all system specs and 300$ bigun vs 450$ LG little bugger. happy with both. Even with contrast being off target i might have given a 5 star except had to draw the line at no power button. Play alot online always turning off LG leave game running take a break. Silly not to have one. Reviews stating returned, hat switch was broken or not responding. I found same issue. In my case, noticed not broke just a heavy sleeper. When monitor goes sleep mode so goes the hat except the hat refuses to insta wake monitor per say. Its on its own life path or just needs a cup of joe before responding. Hat mashing did nothing. Trust me i tried while cranky. I hit it and wait it out or send fire to a hdmi port. Xboxone hdmi 1. Pc hdmi 2 monitor will only wake to last used hdmi. Auto detection for both hdmi,s would rocket costs from 300$$ to 301$$ so iam thankfull. Since mine is xbox dedicated none issue.

Works really well, and not a bad price. Note that you MUST use the HDMI 2 port and compatible HDMI cable if you want to use 144hz, HDMI 1.4 only supports up to 120hz. Also, FreeSync (or G Sync if youre using Nvidia) will NOT work with HDMI. You must use DisplayPort and enable it in the Nividia Control Panel. Its possible it would work with AMD graphics cards, but it didnt with HDMI on my Nvidia 3070ti.

    Greater than one week

I use this mostly for programming in a well lit room. The small size makes 1080 text look as crisp as any 4K monitor. Compared to my MacBook Pro, I can see some backlight bleeding, but, its not unbearable. As to color reproduction - Id say it rivals my Samsung 27 4K Monitor My biggest complaint is the button to get to the menu. The button has 4 positions: up, neutral, down, in. Pressing up and down is super easy. Pressing in, it seems hit or miss. If theres even the slightest up or down movement, the IN movement seems to get over-ridden and the menu item up or down gets highlighted (but not selected) After some practice, its easier to navigate. The second complaint is the power cord is REALLY short - maybe 4 or 5 feet. and finding a USB-A to USB-C cable is pretty hard. Luckily, my power strip is right below my desk, so, I dont have any issues, but, just something to consider. THE GOOD They provide a Micro-HDMI cable that is truly awesome. I mean, its really good quality, and not stiff. Again, the color is REALLY good for a monitor this cheap. Its as good as a $300 Samsung, but I have a $500 LG that looks way better. But again, its about 4xs the cost. The case turns into a stand and its really good. Its the perfect angle for working, it doesnt take up a lot of desk space, and the case it soft. I trust this case to protect my screen. OVERALL Im happy with my purchase and my buy another one. The bad, are not bad enough to NOT buy if you need a small monitor for programming and need more desk space. It also works perfect if you want to hook an AppleTV up to it to watch something while traveling. The included cables are good quality, the case protects the monitor amply, and the monitor is small enough to fit into a laptop backpack with a 13 MacBook pro, and both chargers and not be too big or bulky

I just got this PX243 monitor a few days ago (October 2022). There are no dead pixels, and no defects except for some tiny physical aberration right in the middle of the monitor. At first I thought it was a dark pixel, but I can feel some tiny physical issue there. Fortunately, this issue is probably 1-2 pixels in size and only shows up (light grey) on white. As I write this review I can see it right above where Im typing. I did not ding it after receiving it. This is why Ive rated this 4/5. All the HDMI/DP ports function for my needs (60Hz to 3 computers), but I have tested 165Hz to my gaming PC. It works fine. I will consider keeping that in place. One thing I have no idea if its an issue or not, is related to scrolling text in a dark mode Windows 10 Settings panel. When I scroll, all of the text effectively becomes invisible until I stop scrolling. Default font, etc. I do have brightness on the monitor turned all the way down. But on my older Dell 2410 (with brightness down), when I scroll the text remains fully visible. I have no idea if this can be tuned. I think this is due to the fact its a VA panel. It seems like the black color of the Windows Dark Mode Theme is partially to blame. Ubuntu uses more greys for its dark mode, and the issue is not as apparent there. Audio output is fine. I have no issues with it, but Im not an audiophile. I dont notice any pops or noise. I mounted this to a VESA stand. Notably, the standard VESA screws provided (M4-12) are too long for my VESA mount. I had to buy M4-10 machine screws to fit to the VESA mounting plate. Otherwise the monitor was loose. Yes, it is a VESA mount. No, I did not do anything wrong when connecting it. I will update this review over time.

The brightness issues other have mentioned dont seem to be an issue with my unit. Also they included a display port 1.2 6ft cable in the box. The included cable is suitable for 1440p 165hz. Was able to enable g-sync at the 165hz as well with the included cable. I used the monitor color profile provided by Hardware Unboxed $5 Patreon rewards and the colors look great with that profile applied through windows. All in all, probably the best 2k 165hz FLAT panel monitor you can get for the price. Was thinking about getting the G5 odyssey but held off as I really wanted a flat panel opposed to a curved one. Build quality is great, and Wendel from Level1 Tech on YT had high praises of this monitor as well. And they do a lot of cheap Korean monitor reviews. Dont be put off by the brand name, the monitor and panel does what it claims to do a the best price on the market. Also has an OSD crosshair you can enable for games that dont offer one or in case the game you are playing has a crosshair you dont like, you can disable the in game crosshair and use the OSD one instead.

1st things 1st, have been an Amazon customer for more than 15 years and this may be my first review. Why? Because I took a chance on this fairly unknown monitor and wanted to inform future potential buyers. So the first one arrived DOA, no physical damage, just a scrambled screen. Amazon had a replacement in my hands two days later and wow...going from a 24 inch 1080p monitor to this monster was a huge jump. Running 2xGTX970 in SLI and saw about a 20fps hit from 1080 to 1440p (Currently 80fps on BF V High settings). - No dead pixels - Fairly easy set up for anyone with half a brain (instructions are almost worthless) - Used an Ivanksy DP cable as others have said the included one was trash, be careful not to strip the small screws in the stand - 165hz causes some heavy ghosting in text, but not very noticeable in game (BF V), dropped it to 144hz and text is better -Color and contrast is much better than my ASUS VG248QE (TN) - OSD is fine, gets er done - Bezel is small but not the smallest, no gamer type aesthetics (A good thing) I read a bunch of reviews of people with these elite standards (Haters) and as someone who games regularly, works occasionally, this monitor more than serves my purpose. I dont need some response time only a sensor can recognize or professional colors that I would never notice. So after only 3 days it seems like a real win. I will update this review if I have any issues in the future.

This is a really good monitor for what it costs. Very fast and seems to have good color accuracy. Menu navigation and power button leave a decent amount to be desired along with the power cord being WAY shorter than it should be. Despite these issues it’s a great monitor and would highly recommend. If the monitor has trouble connecting to DisplayPort at all, I found that reconnecting power to the monitor helped sometimes.

Have to say I was skeptical. This is not a Korean monitor if anyone is wondering. It’s a company in Cali but still small nonetheless. When I got the packaging open I was pleased to see the amount of foam protecting my monitor. The monitor stand while not adjustable is completely solid and made of metal I did not expect this and was absolutely impressed because I didn’t even get a metal stand for my 700 dollar ultrawide that’s in my bedroom. Got everything put together with the bolts provided which are very easy to work with. Now came the moment of truth turning the monitor on was kind of a moment I was fearing because you never know what kind of problems can happen with the panel. Turned my computer on and the monitor fired right up. I let out a sigh of relief because Everything was perfect. No dead pixels. No uneven backlighting. No strobing. No problems! I am absolutely shocked and pleased with this purchase. I can’t belive this kind of quality that beat out lg and Samsung (both are high dollar past purchases for me) came from a small company in Cali. Good job pixio team. You built a great product and you just earned a repeat buyer.

Pros: 144hz Monitor 1080p Display Works Great with whatever you put on it, works great with PS4/5, Xbox One/Series X/S, PC, Nintendo Switch. Looks great with my setup. Cons: Brightness settings don’t help very much, brightness isn’t horrible but could be better Sometimes Ports don’t work, have to unplug and plug display cables back in After 3 weeks of use one of my pixels turned red, it’s small and barely noticeable but definitely concerning.
