    Greater than one week

Bought to replace functions previously assigned to a dinky DSL modem. This box runs pfsense and handles DHCP, NAT, and PPPoE authentication with the ISL. Works great and we had a big improvement in reduction of dropped packets and internet hangups. CPU temperature doesnt get above 60ºC even in a warm server room.

    Greater than one week

Bought to run Pfsense and discoveries that its only possible to push about 100mbit as an OpenVpn client using 256 encryption. Its perfectly fine as a router as long as youre not interested in using the router as a VPN client as well. I wish the marketing and the Amazon descr6 was more forthcoming about the expected throughput of this device and I would have just purchased a more powerful unit.

This server works great for Pfsense.

*** Recommendation for international purchasers - if you want this unit, dont purchase the mSATA as its an unknown brand (PHISON) - rather purchase a trusted brand from a local vendor with warranty. We suspect the mSATA failed. The memory supplied has Samsung modules, these are known to be reliable. ***

I have purchased 3 of these for myself or for friends. They are great boxes that are available in multiple configurations to fit your needs. The only way to go when looking for a pfsense box.

This is a nice little firewall box, I have Ubuntu Server 18.04 running on mine, acting as a firewall/router for my home network. For this purpose it works great.

I found this while looking for a replacement for an old first-generation FitPC device that I used to use as a network firewall. The FitPC still runs, but for the last few years, Ive needed something with gigabit ethernet ports, which it doesnt have.

Been using for about a month with no issues. Installed RAM & MSATA SSD, and then installed and setup pfsense in about hour. And all for less than the cost of SG-3100 but this has far more capabilities.
