> 24 hourI needed to replace a damaged cup because markings faded to the point where I could no longer rely on it. I have since learned that you cant wash in the dishwasher.

> 24 hourBut you cant get grandmas Pyrex, Fire King,or Hocking measuring cups with D handles these days. The open handle sliips easily out of your hand, as you hold your breath that it wont shatter on the tile floor. And Oops! Gotta buy another one. so it suits the makers because the cups can all be stacked so efficiently. And they can expect more sales Id far rather a D handle! Easy (if you like the smaller print) to read red lettering, with ounces on one side and metric on the other. I do like the shape when I hold it up at eye-level or when I bend my knees enough to see the level of water etc. as the cup sits on the counter to be level. The spout is wide enough to pour whatever quickly. But its level with the cup rim, so you need to have a quick wrist and eagle eye to stop the flow if you dont need it all. The older models had a raised lip--more precise pouring.

> 24 hourWe bought these measuring cups in September. After only a couple of trips through the dishwasher all of the measuring marks disappeared resulting in a measuring cup with no measurement. Don’t waste your money unless you want a measuring cup with no measurement.

> 24 hourYou would think with something this old and ubiquitous that they would have the design down pat. Instead, they blew it badly. The one-cup size has a small handle that is difficult to hold securely. I am waiting for one of these to go flying out of a wet hand. The markings are “okay”, but the lettering is too small in my opinion and the 1-cup line is halfway down the cup. YMMC on the markings. I do not like the broad, squat design that they have adopted either. I guess I am a traditionalist favoring the more upright design with a real handle.

> 24 hourNot sure why they send you 2 of them (from a cabinet space perspective) but the quality is excellent and its exactly like the one MOM uses (and that I grew up with). Easy to read the measurements.
