Rothco Canvas Zipper Duffle Bag

Pictures in the description make it look like this bag has some structure to it. It does not.

This is a durable, good quality bag. I hauled 2 scooters on an airplane in checked baggage and it held up well. No tears, rips and the zipper is awesome! Does not come with an over the shoulder strap.

At first glance the bag seemed a little on the expensive side, but when I received it I quickly changed my mind. Im using this to store my RV mats and it handles two 9 x 16 mats with room to spare. Ill be buying a couple of the smaller bags for other RV storage needs.

This bag is great, it is identical to a black bag I purchased in the 90s. I bought it for $5.00 then, a lot less than the $18. 00 it cost me today...inflation I guess. Its amazing how all things have increased in price and me as a part-time musician, receives the same amount as I did in the 60s. The bag is great, the same durability as in the 90s, and I received it pronto, the Co. was very expedient.

Heavy duty but shoulder strap hooks have smaller support stitching which gives you the impression that they could snap with a fully loaded bag, even at around fifty pounds. Two zippers with holes in them allows for a small lock. Bags handles could have been closer to the zipper area on both sides so that you could lay this bag on the floor on the opposite of the zipper side facing the floor instead of on the side of the bag where dirt and dust will be collected.

I bought one jumbo and two giant duffle bags. I was looking for a bag like this that has a large zipper on the side for a special purpose and these fit the bill. The zippers work really well and the canvas seems pretty thick with sturdy stitching. Very nice.

I purchased this item for a specific purpose, carrying the 15 x 24 drum of my GP Cocktail Drum Kit. The large size (25 x 42) works. There is room inside the duffel for a fleece sleeping bag (more like a sleeping bag liner) for cushioning and still zip the duffle bag closed easily. There is ample room in the height to carry the small hardware and bass drum pedal of the kit, cushioned by the extra length of the above cheapo sleeping bag. You could fit the whole drum kit in this duffel instead, and use a smaller duffel to carry the hardware, but I had a cushioned drum bag I used for the side drums. I also bought the Rothco Black 55 GI Utility Strap as I read other reviewers comments regarding difficulty in finding a strap for this bag. The loaded bag ended up so light that I used the strap for a different purpose altogether. The final piece of gratification was the successful use of the formula for finding the circumference of a circle I learned in high school geometry. Thank you Mr. K.

Does not have a stripe which makes award to carry. I folded a place inside my check in bag in a trip overseas. I went crazy with the sopping not having to worry about packing space

I ordered 2 duffle bags and they arrived promptly.They are made from dense canvas fabric which is extremely sturdy. The zippers function very well. The sizes were as advertised. Currently I use them to store and transport our clubss tennis racquets and they so very well. I purchased shoulder straps to go with them as they do not come with the bag. That is an added expense which the customer should not incur, thus I did not give the bags a 5 star rating.
