It works as advertised! Very is to set up and mount for a mini mac M1 2020. fast enough for me. For someone doing lots of read-write for photos etc... might want something faster, bigger. With that said, it works great for me.

Great upgrade for my laptop. The spindle based regular hard drive would take upto 2.5 minutes or more to boot but less than 20seconds with this samsung ssd! Install was straightforward and the ssd fits perfectly in the tray. Really happy with how quick and responsive the laptop is now. SSD upgrade is definitely worth the price and so is this product

My computer came with a small SSD containing the OS. Some software have to be put on the C: drive, so the installed drive filled up. I replaced my old one with this Samsung. The drive is excellent, had all the space I wanted, but the (downloaded) Samsung software was very difficult for me to use. It didnt want to work on my 4 year old Dell and wouldnt migrate the OS and make the new drive bootable. I finally had to use non-Samsung software to resize the partition and migrate the Windows 10 operating system to the new drive and make that one bootable. Once that was done, it works fine. You will need a USB 3 to SATA cable, ordered separately, to make the switch. Instead of the Samsung software, I used a free program called Disk Genius from Diskgenius.com to make the switch. PLEASE read up on how to do this before you try it! Also, O&O has a free program that will make the switch as well, tho its a bit more complicated than Disk Genius. Other than the Samsung software, this is a fine drive.

the name speaks for its self. No issues installing to my PC hot swap, have taken it out several times and put back in and there are no issues what so ever.

My hard drive went down and I learned a lesson. I shouldve got one of these earlier and upgraded my rig before I lost my data. Quiet, boots up fast. Make sure you get the install kit. With great things like a blu-ray ROM and camera memory slots, it was great to bring this desktop back to life.
