For anyone considering this for a PS5, Id highly recommend buying it with a heat sink. Sure, it is more expensive but in the long run with the PS5, it is better to go with the heatsink because, as far as I know of, the bay where you put it in, does not have airflow so temps are a concern.

6500 read speed, 1000 faster than internal ssd read speed. You know what I had to do. I put 20 games on this bad boy and its trucking right along no problems no crashes, did had to rebuild the database after a few weeks, dont know what thats all about. Anyway, I really like this 2tb SSD , Im a Samsung fan and it forced me to clean out all the cat hair and dust in my ps5 its like new!

The fast and quick answer is, yes It works on the ps5, it did on mine. And its really fast too, and affordable.

I only get a write speed of 540 MB/s and a read speed of 1.5 GB/s and the price dropped rapidly after I bought but I was unable to cancel my order despite over a week of delays before shipping

Not terribly complicated to install. Several games running off this directly on a ps5 with no issues that I have seen. Adds a great deal of capacity to the ps5s internal memory where you arent having to juggle reinstallations that take quite a bit of time.

I hate these products are so expensive. It was at the memory is not bigger in these gaming consoles with game download these days. However, it is almost a necessary purchase anymore. This product works as advertised, and I have had no issues with installing, overheating, or filling up the memory thus far.

Easy as hell to install. Cut my boot time from over a minute to under 30s. Cloned my main drive to this and its so nice.
