I bought the 2TB 980 PRO for my new PC build (specs below). It is used for gaming and video/photo editing programs. It is ultra-fast when playing games and generating content. However, it does not reach its advertised speed of 7000 MB/s. My SSD was reaching between 6700-6800 MB/s.

So I wanted to leave a positive review this came in only a few days and I was searching for a memory device to upgrade in my PlayStation and I kept going to all the game stores and the prices were outrageous. I looked on Amazon. I found this card I found the 1 TB version and the 500 GB version but also the 2 TB version I didnt see any reviews on the 2 TB version but I thought I would give it a shot, I dont know much about installing things but I just looked on YouTube and I installed it in under 10 minutes. Id say with barely any experience in this stuff I installed it turned on my PlayStation and I now have 2 TB of storage to use. This is definitely pretty awesome. I highly suggest it for the price and how easy it is to install

Samsung SSDs are the best. Works great on a Windows 11 gaming machine.

My PC has an old Asus AMD M5A99FX MB (but no onboard M.2 slots). So I bought a “AMPCOM M.2 NVME SSD to PCIe 4.0 Adapter Card” to allow me to put this NVMe in an available PCIe 2.0 x4 slot on the MB. Worked well as any disk should, in Win 11, but was not bootable (not the problem of the SSD or the adapter card) this was an issue with the old BIOS, which did not support booting a NVMe type of drive. The fix is getting an upgraded BIOS (not available on the MB manufacture BIOS updates site). Solution - I bought a “ BIOS patched for NVMe booting” and problem is solved. Even on my PCIe 2.0 backplane I got a significant bump in performance, see attached pictures, with all related info.

Delivery today. Driver was nice and very friendly. Blazing fast speeds. No more stuttering in games and no more slow downloads capped by a HDD. Love it.

I got the 1TB model on sale and it works amazingly well. I heard the 2TB models might have problems, so make sure to do your research before buying and make sure the product number is the right one, or just go with 1TB like I did and you will have 0 worries, but what you will have is blazing fast nvme ssd storage perfect for gaming with RTX on
