Needed a little more storage for my xbox so I bought this. Set up was easy and has been working great since. Was really surprised how small and light it was.

Slower than advertised speed. Cannot reach much above 800 MB/s on a Thunderbolt 3 connection . A far cry from the 1050 MB/s advertised speed.

Very disappointed. After couple of months my ssd is not working. It stopped storing footages of my Tesla model 3

Not as fast as internal NVMs but comparable to internal SSDs. Connects/disconnects very quickly in Windows and Linux. Warms up a bit but doesnt get hot.

Simple to use and works well. Great product. Having the different colors available is also nice to be able to distinguish between each and their use. Read / write time is fast.

Just outside the 90 day return window this drive started leaking a white substance (white crystals) from one end of the drive. Googling it, I found this is a common issue with the drive. I worked to try to replace the drive through Samsung. They were wiling to have me return the drive to them for service, but they dont offer any option to send you a drive first. Which means you have to send them a drive with data, and the point of an external drive is to have storage externally. In order to protect your data and ensure it isnt lost, youd have to purchase another drive to copy it before retuning the unit for repairs or replacement. Which negates the utility of having an external drive.

This makes the 3rd one I have purchased. Perfect for my needs. So far these have been very reliable.

These things are fast!! Massive upgrade from any old external HDDs you have been using and the price is right for 2TB! Highly recommended
