While this seems like a great drive, from reading the Carbon Copy Cloner support site (one of the highest rated 3rd party backup utilities for the Mac) it has a firmware that is incompatible with APFS. So great for portable storage, but look elsewhere if you want a bootable backup drive for your Mac. You can create a unencrypted backup that is bootable using older versions of the filesystem, but not one that will work with the latest MacOS or that is secure.

Great storage capacity and very small drive. Lightweight - super fast read right speed. Was able to perform a full TimeMachine back up of a 2TB drive in just under an hour!
