> 3 dayI bought this external drive to clone an internal drive from an old Macbook Pro (2008). I had hoped I could find a way to use it as a startup disk and boot into an older Mac OS from a new Macbook Pro which in the end was not possible. Instead I use it as the startup disk for the old MBP. In that role it has worked well by having a quicker boot time and the read write speed has made web pages load faster. It also starts Photoshop more quickly and runs faster in that app while also allowing more free storage space than the internal 1TB SATA drive.
