Greater than one weekSo far, this external SSD has been working very reliably as a backup drive. Its health can be monitored using an up-to-date version of Samsungs Magician software. However, because it is connected via USB, some of the softwares OTHER features cannot be used with it... but, in this application, that is a relatively minor issue. In my experience, the T5 has not been noticeably affected by the overheating sometimes reported for the faster T7, which replaced it.

> 3 dayI bought this device to back up my 1.2 TB of photos. I connected the C to C cable and started copying my files, after about 700GP of transfer, my computer lost the device, could not reconnect. I tried connecting with the A to C cable and it worked fine. Transfer was fast and no errors detected.
