It is the right size monitor to view my security cameras clearly

Arrived quickly, setup was easy; everything looks great and working well so far! The base of the monitor was easy to put together. The one thing I would note is that the base is not as steady as Id like. Everything attaches securely but if bumped, it might easily fall over--something about the design or weight of the base. However, that is not a major issue; just something to be aware of. I am thinking of what I can do to secure the monitor to the computer in a nonpermanent but secure way so that if, for instance, my cat walks across the computer in front of the monitor or I bump the table, it wont fall over. Otherwise, looks like a great product. If any major issues come up, I will try to remember to come back and update this review. :]

I did not purchase this to play video games but only to monitor activity from a magnetometer that measures the Earths magnetosphere, B & A axis. The monitor works as described.

for $79 and in a pinch to replace a defective monitor overnite, you cant expect much. The monitor is good to very good, and well above what I paid for it. It is so overtly landscape mode, I have to adjust how I view invoices and other business related files. For viewing color pics, which I have to take on site before and after, it is very good. The controls are all handled onboard, there is no remote, you toggle by hand. Simple menu, simple controls, all again, in the realm of what you pay for a 20 monitor which is very little. On a budget? This is a good bare bones choice.

Sceptre 20 inch computer monitor is an affordable option for users who need a basic display for everyday tasks. However, one of its drawbacks is that it has a poor viewing angle from the left and right sides, making it less suitable for users who need a wider viewing angle. When viewing the monitor from the sides, the colors and brightness will appear distorted, resulting in an inferior viewing experience. This can be frustrating for users who need to share their screen with others or who frequently move around while working. Its worth noting that the poor viewing angle is a common issue with smaller and more affordable monitors, as they typically use TN (Twisted Nematic) panels, which have a narrower viewing angle compared to other panel types. This is because TN panels prioritize faster response times over viewing angles. However, the Sceptre 20 inch monitor may still be a viable option for users who dont require a wider viewing angle. Its compact size and affordable price make it ideal for users who only need to perform basic tasks such as browsing the web, checking emails, or working with documents. Overall, while the Sceptre 20 inch computer monitor is a budget-friendly option, its poor viewing angle from the left and right sides may limit its suitability for some users. If you require a wider viewing angle, it may be worth investing in a monitor with an IPS (In-Plane Switching) or VA (Vertical Alignment) panel, which offer better viewing angles but come at a higher cost.

There is one problem, I dont like the sound of the built in speakers. Other than that it is a great monitor.

I did not buy this monitor for a computer but would make a fine one. I bought it because I wanted a small tv to place in front of my exercise bike. I have several old streaming devices laying in a box so I dug up an old Onn streaming box and hooked it up through the HDMI port. I got a pleasant surprise when I unboxed the unit and saw that it has analog audio output. I hooked up a decent set of speakers to it and had a very cheap streaming tv. Of course no tuner but over the air tv in our area is crap anyway. Of course only time will tell how it does in the long run but so far so good.

When it says 20 in. that measurement is on a diagonal. The visible screen size is 17 in. x 9.5 in. Just saying.
