Id like to mention that I fully anticipated to receive this in mid April, and instead it arrived a month ahead of time and I couldnt be more grateful. My betta fish tank has begun the nitrification cycle with my betta in it, and in order to keep him as safe and comfortable as possible, I needed this product and Im so happy to be able to have it to speed up the process in the safest way possible. I completely trust Seachem with each and every one of their products, and Im so happy to have been able to order it from such a reliable source. Thank you!!

After attempting to cycle three new tanks using traditional means with no success, I did lots of online research and discovered everyone in the forums and YouTube videos touting this product. At my wits end, I decided to purchase this product and give it a try. I am pleased to say that after less than one week of dosing my three tanks with this product (according to the written instructions, of course) they are all now fully cycled and producing optimal parameters according to my Tetra EasyStrips. I am so happy I discovered this product, which I cannot recommend enough to those of you who are looking to quickly and safely cycle your tanks for a healthy and happy aquatic environment for your marine or freshwater fish.

It works. I usually do the whole wait 1-3 week deal before even attempting to add fish. But I decided to try this product because I was in a hurry and it works. I fully tore down my tank and re-landscaped the entire aquarium AND made sure my water parameters were within freshwater normal range (GH, KH, pH, ect). I didnt clean the gravel because I wanted to at least keep some of the good bacteria in the tank somehow. I bought two cheap rosy reds within 24 hours of setting up my tank, and theyre still alive but they could be in better shape. The product works but the fish are definitely not 100% happy even if my water parameters are fine. I wouldnt recommend starting a new tank and using this product with delicate/sensitive fish like discus... I will stick to waiting at least 1-3 weeks before adding fish, like I used to. The product works, it just seems a little risky if youre going to buy expensive fish to start a new tank.

I try to do a water change once a week, and add Stability each time in the recommended amount. It really seems to help keep the chemistry stable.

I always have my seachem products stocked at all times. Ive in an emergency had to cycle a 60g Adult African Cichlid tank and had no casualties, thank goodness. One thing I do want to make clear, this will not instantly lower Ammonia, Nitrites or Nitrates. Stability helps by shortening the time it takes for your tank to cycle. In order to keep your readings down and your fish alive, ANY Fish, you must also use Prime. Prime does not rid your tank of Ammonia Nitrites or Nitrates but binds them so they are not toxic, for roughly 48hrs. So please do not buy this product thinking it will keep your fish alive. It is one of a combination of products that will or do.

I use this to fishless cycle my tanks. I combine it with Dr. Tims Ammonium Chloride. By doubling or trippling the dosage on both of these, I can fully cycle my tank in 7-12 days and its AWESOME! If you dont know what Im talking about, its very important that you study the Nitrogen Cycle and learn what it does in a fish tank before you buy any fish. I also use it when adding new fish just to make sure my beneficial bacteria colony stays strong and stable. And it really does keep things stable!

I’ve heard that BB starters are a waste of money, but here’s my experience. I started a new tank, fish in, and was pretty religious with the stability and the tank basically cycled in two weeks(I use api master kit to test and record my levels, I had nitrates and the ammonia and nitrites were stabilizing) . I made the mistake of removing the HOB filter and replacing with a sponge filter too soon, I thought the bb was built up enough. Completely crashed my cycle and had to start over. So I thought at this point it would build up on its own pretty fast, wasnt using stability during this time, wasnt even testing, just adding enough prime to make sure the fish were good, finally a week and a half later I test again, nitrites and nitrates are still at zero… Needless to say I’ll be adding stability everyday religiously till I see nitrites come online. Learn from my mistakes. Establishing a tank is such a pain, and in my experience this product does speed up that process.
