> 3 dayMy tank would not cycle until I quit using Prime, which makes sense if you think about it. If it ties up the nitrites and nitrates then what are the newly forming bacteria going to consume? It took eight weeks and multiple manufactures of this type of product including this one here to cycle my 75. At the time my tank cycled I was using Foster and Smith bacteria, but Im sure this is a good product and would have worked if I had not used Prime. Maybe my tank was about to cycle when I quit using Prime, I will never know... P.S. I use Prime and Safe on all my cycled tanks

> 3 dayI have read a lot of the reviews of problems people have had, while I dont agree with the claim of instant bio filter as in my 30+ years I have never seen or found any product that will actually create a full, stable cycle, only time and the miracles of nature, I do not believe any cycle that is rushed is stable enough to handle what is thrown at it! I do think Seachem would be wise to change that! There really is no shortcut to a proper cycled tank that could take up to 6 weeks! This stuff is really for the routine maintenance that it is more suited for like filter maintenance or gravel vacs anywhere or anytime you might loose Benifical Bacteria. I only use this during those times on my 90,135 & 220 gallon tanks and have had zero issues others have claimed which tells me there lack of understanding of the nitrogen cycle or what the product can really do! This product will no way cycle your tank it may help but too many factors contribute to a completed cycle. What this will do is help during routine maintenance to replace loss of BB as well as it could aid in any small spikes. I also will not deduct stars for bottles leaking and or damaged as others have done (guess they dont understand product reviews? If Seachem shipped then different story), as that has zero to do with the results of the product

> 3 dayTo clarify this is what you use to start the bacterial cycle in a new fish tank and boost an already established tank. It is used to help break down solid waste in a tank and help prevent bad bacterias from developing. I just started a 55 gallon tank with 10 two year old goldfish and we all know how dirty those fish are... I started my tank with this bio bacteria and it works great. You shake the bottle and you hear some carbonated fizzing from the active bacteria and pour a few caps of this directly into your filters to start the process and it will keep your fish from dieing because of New tank syndrome IE all your fish die a horrible death because of chemical spikes. This stuff works miracles in helping to break down solids quickly and keeping fish healthy. It will make your water milky for a day or so because of a HEALTHY bacterial spike and then it levels out and the balance is found naturally. It is the best thing you can buy for a healthy tank and healthy fish. I can not sing the praises of this enough. Totally hooked on Seachem Stability for life. If you have a 55 gallon tank or bigger buy 2 of the 500ml bottles because I wish I did. I used 1/4 of a bottle in a week starting my tank and its a good idea to put a cap full in your filters after you wash them to get the bio filtration action going again. So over a year you will definitely use up a whole bottle maybe more depending on how much you feel you need it. And if you suffer a disaster and have to do a total water change you need this to keep your fish alive in a non established tank.

> 3 dayI have used all the other products on the market to cycle aquariums and I was just about to give up when someone told me to try this product! Follow the instructions to the T and you will see you should see amonia, nitrates and nitrites change for the better in about 4 days. I would do 50% water changes on my 90 gallon daily to keep the ammonia below 1PPM and treat the water. I switched from a 55 to 90 and lost ALL my beneficial bacteria and have about 25 community fish in the aquarium. This saved my tank and i have not lost one fish yet. In stores this size bottle is REALLY expensive. I have never seen even the smaller bottles go for anything over 14 bucks! Good buy, good savings, great product, if I could give it 6 stars I would! MAKE SURE IF YOU USE TAP WATER AT WATER CHANGES, THAT YOU TREAT YOUR WATER AND WAIT 15 MINUTES BEFORE ADDING THIS PRODUCT OR TURNING OUR FILTER BACK ON! Cheers!

> 3 day.Stability is a great kickstart for cycling a new tank , but that said, a tank still needs to be cycled. Newbies out there, you must cycle your tank for the it’s long term health. The secret to aquarium success - healthy fish- is water quality. If you cycle your tank properly and that takes time, your tank parameters ( ammonia nitrates nitrites Etc) will normalize/ stabilize. Fish will suffer if your tank has not cycled completely...due to ammonia spikes , high nitrites and nitrates amongst other possible complications for lack of proper cycling... Remember an aquarium is an animal eco system I recommend Aquariumadvisor.com ‘The (almost) Complete Guide and FAQ to Fishless Cycling‘
