> 3 dayPurchased these when they were a deal of the day to compare against the Sennheiser HD280 Pro and was hard pressed to find enough differences to merit the substantial price difference. Returned these to Amazon (with zero hassle) and am loving the HD280

> 3 dayI purchased a demo pair of 600s, received a demo pair of 650s. Certainly not complaining. I plugged the 650s into my Onkyo DAC and a new world emerged. Music Ive listened to for years is completely different and so much more wonderful. Mike Oldfields The Songs of Distant Earth (which Ive heard literally hundreds of times) virually came to life, his Music of the Spheres was like sitting with the orchestra. Female vocals are astounding. Old, terribly mastered recordings sound pretty damned good. This is the first pair of open backed phones Ive ever owned, and the effect is miraculous. Ive been a music junkie since I was a toddler, grew up with my Dads tube Harmon Kardon amp and LPs, I play several instruments and sing and have a little recording studio set up in my house. What Im saying is I know good music reproduction, and these phones are the pinnacle for me. Especially since I dont have thousands to spend. I own a couple of Sennheiser microphones so I was familiar with their quality. What Im trying to say is that the investment you make in Sennheiser headphones is not money wasted. Only problem is now I find I have purchased a Bottlehead Crack tube amp kit to power these 300 ohm sweethearts, and am really looking forward to receiving my kit so I can get started! Buy these phones and dont look back!

> 3 dayThese arent meant for noise cancellation or over-emphasized bass. These are a neutral pair of audiophile headphones. If you want noise cancellation or strong bass, you should look somewhere else. These get 5 stars for being what theyre meant to be: a neutral headphone.

> 3 dayI own a pair of Sennheiser HD660s, which I think sound awesome. After listening to sound demos on YouTube, comparing the Sennheiser headphone family (I wanted to loosely compare the sound quality of the 660s and the 800s, I plan to own the 800s one day as an end game), I noticed how clean and sweet the 600s sounded. I was happy with the 660s, but the sound on the 600 haunted me for the past few months.

> 3 dayif you care about neutral/accurate sound, these headphones are literally perfect. the only issue is how tight the clamp force is on the headband. so if you have a big head like me, you will have to bend the metal on the headband until it fits on your head more comfortably. other than, Id recommend these to anyone who cares about good sound

Greater than one weekBought them for my husband; he loves them. Me? Not so much unless I put them on! I guess everyone who are looking for those headphones will know exactly what Im talking about. Were in the same room, hes listening to his vinyls, im trying to watch a movie!

> 3 dayI do a lot of recording. Im always on the look out for ways to check my tone and verify what Im doing. In the studio I have a very nice pair of Meyer HD-1 monitors along with four other sets of speakers for checking how my mix translates to other speakers.

> 3 dayMost folks would venture that everything that could potentially be said about Sennheisers vaunted HD 600 has, by now, been repeated at least 600 times over. After all, were talking about headphones which have been in circulation for a quarter of a century. I would argue, on the contrary, that its vital to see whether they still hold up, particularly given a rather steep price point.

> 3 dayI bought these as an upgrade from my Sennheiser HD 598s, and I couldnt be happier with them. They have a very open and airy sound, with a wide soundstage and great clarity. Overall Id call it a laid-back listening experience, the highs are detailed but not fatiguing, and the bass is good quality but not overemphasized.
