> 3 dayparto dalla fine: sono un prodotto incredibilmente ben suonante, comode, fresche (anche a 40 gradi, come oggi), perfettamente bilanciate sonicamente, le metti in testa e spariscono, rimane solo la musica, faccio fatica ad analizzare in dettaglio il suono perché mi distraggo a riscoprire la musica già ascoltata, ma mai così....

> 3 dayGreat set of cans! Wanted a set of open headphones to go with my ATM50s. They are really just starting to break in. With the addition of an amp these make music come alive. I like classical guitar and these enable me to hear the music as intended. No complaints here.

> 3 dayNever having bought headphones in this price bracket before, I was not sure what to expect. I bought them to mix my own music (stepping up from a £30 pair) and am very happy so far. I burned them in for three days (not because I believe/know it to be necessary - the manual suggests no such thing - but because zillions of users suggest this is de rigeur). I genuinely noticed a difference afterwards: the treble was flat to begin with but subsequently grew (I didnt listen to these phones in the interim, I left them on a separate system just playing). Other than that no difference. After this my only point of note is that the upper midrange is a little flat (what I would describe as unrealistic) whatever my source music or DAC; apart from that these phones seem accurate - i.e. good for mixing, but my caveat remains: upper midrange not perfect, there is a tiny but noticeable hole there which reduces pure listening pleasure. I bought these phones for mixing, however, so for that 4.5 stars; for listening 3.5.

> 3 dayDespite owning these for 8 years, I never could love them. These guys hit low with great bass extension but the bass quality is a bit boomy. There is far too much tension in the headband as well, lots of pressure on my head making for a very uncomfortable fit. At most, I could listen to these for maybe an hour before getting a headache, its like a vice on your skull. I did like the relaxed, back row kind of sound they gave but it just wasnt exciting enough for me overall. Imaging is great, as to be expected with Sennheiser cans. My set unfortunately favored the left speaker so every time I listened to them, there was always more volume coming out of the left side (Quality control?) I ended up selling them for 200 bucks and bought a pair of Samson SR850, a $35 paid of headphones, and never looked back. Yes, these bargain basement Samsons sound better than the Sennheiser HD650s in nearly every way (except for the bass volume and extension, but the bass quality is actually better on the Samsons, nice and tight), I kid you not. There was no more veil, just pure, balanced, open sound. Why spent 10x more when you can get more accurate and more enjoyable sound and comfort with the Samons? I REALLY wanted to like the Sennheisers, especially with all the fan fair theyve gotten over the last 15 years but I just couldnt. They have thumping bass (maybe too much) and balanced sound but it is so veiled and dark, its just plain boring in my opinion. Unless you want to spend another 500 bucks on a headphone amp, I suggest you look elsewhere.
