> 24 hourHD 660s compared to HD 820 that I also own it is one step below sound wise, but this is acceptable when priced at one fifth of the hd820.

> 24 hourI use these for gaming, their a bit overkill but I like them. Work well and sound better then any other headphone I own. Not a lot of thumping bass however, if you like bass then I would avoid. The imaging is awesome and the sound stage is still pretty narrow. A slight upgrade to my HD 600.

> 24 hourI has many others chose this headphone over the lower number Sennheiser HD I also feel the detail and full accurate sound warrant the extra cost I find them very comfortable to wear for long listening sessions I just wish they did come with a pentacon to 2.5 mm adapter as my portable dap does not support the pentacon at this time.

> 24 hourThese headphones are great. Pinpoint imaging and detail with a really black background. Very comfortable. High bass through high midrange is about as good as you can get. Very even sounding and enjoyable. Im using a Schiit Heresy, Modi 3+, Loki+ stack with Amazon HD source and the latest Oratory 1990 EQ settings.

> 24 hourOver all this is a very nice set of headphones. More than very nice - the sound quality is excellent. Movies are a delight, music is fully expressed to the smallest detail. In comparison to previous headphones, all of which are around $150 price point, the fidelity on these is noticeably better. As Im not an expert I cant speak to whether or not these are Flat - but they have drastically improved daily listening. When a product makes something that you do on a nearly constant basis, way more fun and enjoyable, it seems to me that its proven its value.

> 24 hourThe two main reasons I gave this product a 4 instead of a 5 star review, is the price is high, and the bass does not go to the subwoofer area. Other than that, I think they are excellent headphones - very accurate, much like very flat near field monitor speakers. Great midrange and smooth highs. The lows sound like they are subjectively flat down to, maybe 50 Hz, with hearable energy down into the 40s and even the 30Hz band, though, at a lower level. Comfort is good, though with a high clamping force out of the box. This improves with time, and you can adjust it yourself, if youre careful.

> 24 hourDefinitely a huge difference between open back and closed back headphones. I like that I can finally determine where the sound of footsteps are coming from, however, there are sounds where its lower than usual compared to my closed back. I have both Sennheiser brand. The closed back is 598c and the open back is 660s. I love both, the 598c gives me more of a boost of sound where you dont need to have bass added on, whereas, the 660s, its the kind of headset where you hear a crisp balance of treble and bass. I think my hearing may also have gotten worse since using the closed back and having to get used to hearing my own voice now compared to where I cant even hear sound outside the closed back is going to be a challenge lol. Overall, this headset is lightweight, the ear cuffs are softer and fits better on my ears. Definitely worth your money!

> 24 hourWas a little bit disappointed with the new HD 660S. I had an old HD 600, purchased about 10 years ago and was expecting a big improvement with the HD 660S. But the feel and sound quality are only slightly better than my old HD 600. The construction is a little bit sturdier than the HD 600. It is a good buy at less than $400 if you do not already own an HD 600 or HD 580.

> 24 hourWay too tight on the head, didn’t find the ear cups very comfortable either. To me, the sound is like a dark version of the recording with emphasis on mid bass, and just about the rest of the sound rolled off.
