Greater than one weekFor a medium tier ssd (just barely) this nvme m.2 performs pretty well. It has no heat sink and it’s dram-less hopefully anyone buying knows that, it’s not going to give you the same performance as a 970pro evo. As a drive for games though you’ll have no regrets. Installed this on my midrange pc (b450m) within minutes, I had to pop out the gpu as the location is a bit in there but that’s a mobo thing not the drive. Pretty solid read/write speeds for a gen3 midrange. Not really much else to add aside from understanding what you are buying, it’s a good price for a midtier dram-less ssd, the same from WD or Hynix will run you about $20-$30 more, but it’s still a 3rd gen and you’re getting what you paid for essentially. If you need something with higher TBW, read/write speeds, than please consider a higher tier WD or Samsung or consider a gen4 if your mobo allows it. What it’s good for: Basic file storage/transfer Games Some mid level media editing Huge improvement over any HDD and minimal improvement over sata SSDs What it’s not going to do: Large scale file storage/transfer (meaning it won’t do with the 1tb being constantly rewritten thousands of times abs might have performance issues if constantly full) 4k media editing The ability to cool itself when met with higher temps (100c+) if you buy a heatsink or your mobo came with one it might do slightly better

30-03-2025Esta perfecta, pero al momento de comprar me encuentro con que no tiene el tornillo para fijarlo a la placa por lo que me obligo a comprar uno aparte

> 3 dayA friend of mine, which that title is up for debate currently, ordered a 16 TB SSD for the same price as this drives original MSRP. To his horror I popped it open and showed him the 16 GB MicroSD card inside. I ordered him one of these and a Sabrent m.2 enclosure. Gave it to him last night and hes already happy with it. Easy to use, setup. Not the top tier but for moving a few big files between things without going through the cloud, its makes for a great SSD/jump drive.

> 3 dayFor reference, drive D: is the Silicon power, and drive C: is the original Lenovo ssd, with it’s specs to the right. I upgraded the storage on my 1yr old Lenovo Legion 5 Gaming laptop with this affordable drive, and was BLOWN AWAY by the speeds. The OEM drive has a 512mb DRAM cache and is rated for 3500 write/ 2800 read. (Comparable to a 970evo) The SP, despite not having a DRAM cache and being rated at less than 70% of the other drives speed, held right up to it in identical random read/write Benchmark tests and even surpassed it in a single queue read! When transferring files, the SP response time is a bit slower at around 20ms compared to <1ms, but for playing games and running CAD it is unnoticeable. I measured my Forza horizon 4 load times to be about half a second slower, but that was more likely human error than an actual difference. I am more than pleased by the performance of this drive, it’s definitely a slept on choice. If you want large capacity speed for cheap don’t waste money on a Samsung, try this first! Note: it does NOT come with a screw so make sure you have one.

> 3 dayFirst and foremost I am a huge fan of SP products - in fact, I consistently buy all their products for various hardware applications for the last 2+ years ... however ... despite the phenomenal price point and highly reliable physical devices, SP consistently relies on 3rd party software which is VERY, VERY glitchy for their SSD and M.2 hardware installation (cloning) which makes it very unfortunate since it wrecks the overall experience ... specifically, the NTI Echo software is a glitchy, ill-conceived piece of software that caused me to waste 2 days installing this otherwise wonderful piece of equipment into a brand new Dell 5575 ... the process to acquire the NTI Echo software is insanely complicated and SP does a very poor job of explaining how you need to prep to get it Step 1. YOU MUST have the actual serial number off the device (not the box) to even attempt to download the software - you dont find out about this until you already installed the device and closed your laptop - so now you have to re-open the laptop, remove the M.2 and take a pic. or write down the specific serial number which also has way too many 0 and O that you will have to trial and error several times Step 2. Once you finally register and download the software, the next step appears to be a straightforward single screen with 2 drop down menus BUT ITS NOT!!! - if you are cloning 2 drives that are already in the laptop then its no problem at all and it executes in record time - however - if you are cloning drives using the USB option the NTI Echo software leads you to a reboot and endless looping no matter what you do until either you remove and erase the drive and essentially start from scratch or you manage to find the obscure help from other users through endless on-line searches that advise you to enter the laptop recovery mode and then attempt to fix your Windows Boot Record to get rid of the pesky NTI Echo instructions that are now loaded into memory - this literally took 2 days of various trial and error and endless research for the obscure instructions from some other desperate and angry user who was a good Samaritan to leave instructions on this mess ... worst part the Win10 installation did get corrupted and forced a complete, clean reinstall all the same which also forced the full reinstall of application so cloning was one giant BUST! Ultimately I recommend the SP hardware but use other true and tried software to do your cloning ...

Greater than one weekI use this NVME for my backup drive. All of this is through 3.2 USB Port and Cable. I have seen transfer rates reach 5GB a second! Why not install it inside the case? I can easily unplug it from the USB Port to backup another computer. Nice product.

> 3 dayTécnicamente nada mal, solo que fue un problema encontrar un tornillo que pudiera usar. Y lo más importante, solo me vienen 931gb de almacenamiento. Y los otros 69gb? Entiendo que un porcentaje se usa para al administración del m.2, pero son entre 20gb y 40gb, en este caso son 70gb, por lo demás no tengo problema, perp sería bueno aclarar cuanto porcentaje del almacenamiento es utilizable.
