I bought this device pack to monitor my servers power consumption. I got the package today. The setup was a bit confusing between Quick Pairing Mode and the Compatibility Mode. Lesson learned: Make sure your smart phone is pre-connected to 2.4 GHZ WiFi network. Otherwise quick pairing will not work. Once configured there is not much you need to do, other than naming the device and your room(s.) Right off the bat I have two complaints: 1. The big off switch on the App turns off the device with no prompt. A prompt, are you sure, would be very nice. 2. WiFi network requirement is for 2.4 GHZ. Granted, I do not need the speed but modern 5 GHz routers provide a better range as well. Other than that, for now, I like the device. I can monitor the power consumption in real time, which is what I was looking to do.

Best thing about this device is the ability to reflash with Tasmota firmware which then works with both HomeAssistant and MQTT based home control and automation systems. You can utilize one system for power monitoring and the other for control once the unit has been flashed. Very good support by the community for using the part.

The appeal to this model is the ability to open them and hack them - great for automation. They didnt play nice with my router. 2 of the 4 kept going offline and I had to reset them to get them back.

I love these switches because they are cheap but durable and (assuming you are not afraid of soldering) it isnt so difficult to replace the Sonoff software with something open source like Tasmota. They are my goto power-measuring device on my home automation system (Home Assistant) for household appliances. But here is my warning if you do intend to reprogram them: to open up the case, you need to extract three screws and these are always in so tight that it is extremely easy to strip them, or damage the case, or both.

Estos enchufes solo funcionan a máximo 2 metros del router. Más allá no tomarán señal de wifi. Tengo unos más baratos y toman señal hasta 50 metros, una decepción los eschufes sonoff, literalmente solo funcionan al lado del router.

Bn Link used to sell these with a power meter but I contacted them and they don’t offer the meter option anymore because of a chip shortage. These are a couple bucks more but the power meter is the feature I really like.

Got this to monitor the flow of electricity and to be able to reset my rig remotely. The power draw through this is not consistent and would cause my rig to reset every several hours. The wifi function and app worked well and it did monitor power usage but it was pretty basic.
