> 3 dayWorks great right out of the box. Using the Ewelink software, you are presented with all the parameters and easily connects to Alexa. Just change the name during the configuration to prevent Alexa from getting her tung tied up in a knot. The only downside is that unlike other Sonoff boards, the serial connection points on the board does not have through hole pads. Several flashers have damaged the pads trying to hook up the connections for flashing alternative software. Very good value for money

> 3 dayGreat smart switch from an excellent company. These are rated at 15 amps and they monitor power usage also. Fully compatible with Alexa. And have an excellent control application. If youre into Home Assistant you can easily flash these with Tasmota and goto the next level. Highly rated A+

> 3 dayI got this because I was looking for a smart plug that would alert me to the current dropping below a certain level, which this claimed it could. However this requires integration with IFTTT, which has an additional in app cost. Even after purchasing that, it would not integrate and I could not set up my alerts. Fortinatly I was able to get my money back from google, and return this plug. as far as a basic smart plug with Alexa goes it worked just fine before I returned the item.

> 3 dayThe Sonoff isnt the smallest, but I needed an outlet with local control and power monitoring. I was able to flash Tasmota onto the outlet in about 5 minutes, as the Sonoff is easily disassembled. With Tasmota firmware running on the outlet, all control is local with Home Assistant. There is no need to pair the device with a server in a far away country and there is no communication going on outside of my house. In fact, I put all of my IoT devices on a VLAN that does not have any access to the internet or my normal household network. Keep everything local with local control and keep spyware out of your home.

> 3 dayI was hoping this would work as its great value f it would have. After following the official instructions on their website I was happy to see that the plugs populated on the website. But when you read what it says on the plugs that show up it says unsupported. Clicking on the list of supported devices they are on their list. As this is their website I suspect that it wouldnt be just home assistant integration but also others including alexa or remote usage.

> 3 dayWouldn’t connect in normal mode. Only compatible mode. Worked but kinda screwy on updating. Other ones I’ve seen update quick every couple seconds. Now it’s stuck showing the same wattage all day even with no devices plugged in. Guess I’ll update on the replacement if it works or not.

> 3 dayI love everything about this outlet, except for the power monitoring function, I wish that you could download more than just the past 3 months of monitoring data, I also dont like that the data is cloud based. A great future addition would be to have an option to view when the appliance starts up & shuts off if possible? That way you could know the total running time.

> 3 dayWe live in an older home that doesnt have overhead lighting in the ceiling. In stead, every room has to be lit with lamps and it was such a pain to turn everything on an off when you entered a room. So, we decided smart plugs and they have been a game changer. Very easy to set up with the eWeLink app and then integrate with the Alexa app. We group the switches together in each room and then set up the on/off schedules and routines in the Alexa app, rather than eWeLink, but you can do it either way. Lots of options. So much easier to just say Alexa, turn on the living room than switching on three lamps! Love these.

Greater than one weekI bought this device pack to monitor my servers power consumption. I got the package today. The setup was a bit confusing between Quick Pairing Mode and the Compatibility Mode. Lesson learned: Make sure your smart phone is pre-connected to 2.4 GHZ WiFi network. Otherwise quick pairing will not work. Once configured there is not much you need to do, other than naming the device and your room(s.) Right off the bat I have two complaints: 1. The big off switch on the App turns off the device with no prompt. A prompt, are you sure, would be very nice. 2. WiFi network requirement is for 2.4 GHZ. Granted, I do not need the speed but modern 5 GHz routers provide a better range as well. Other than that, for now, I like the device. I can monitor the power consumption in real time, which is what I was looking to do.
