Greater than one weekThese Sony XM5 headphones are a great buy & worth the money. They have good noise cancellation and ambient modes and are comfortable for medium periods of listening. However, Apples AirPods Max has superior Noise cancellation, ambient modes and music reproduction in my experience. Apple AirPods Max are heavy and after 45 minutes become uncomfortable on my large head. I have tested both playing Apple Lossless Music through a DAC and Apple still shines but is over $100 more at $479. The Sony has a better battery life, is lighter and is more comfortable for medium periods of use. I have a big head and even the Sony headphones get uncomfortable after a straight hour of use and cause my ears to get hot. I recently got Technics EAH-A800 headphones for a little less than (@$347) the Sony XM5. The EAH-A800 are better at noise cancellation & ambient modes and have great sound reproduction & best of all I can wear them for hours with no discomfort. If I were buying headphones in the $350 to $400 range I would buy the Technics EAH-800 for better value. Yes Sony does a lot of advertising but the Technics are made by Panasonic and they have a great history in reproducing quality sound.

> 3 dayIf you have the XM3/4 its not worth the upgrade and heres why: The biggest killer for me is its pauses audio when Im talking, this is extremely annoying. There is nothing I found in their Android app to fix this problem. The headband in narrower than the XM3/4 and therefore more uncomfortable. For the price, seriously Sony, you couldnt add a bigger battery and/or wireless charging? The XM5 anc (noise cancelling) wasnt that much better and it was actually a little worse than the XM3/4 when it came to the dreaded landscapers two-stroke buzz buzz test.... Definitely not worth $400, and not even $350 if you already have an XM4.

> 3 dayI own both Beats solo3 and it, and I have to say, they feel completely different! The bass of Beats is more professional, but the XM5 is lighter and completely covers the ears, so I wont feel uncomfortable wearing it for a long time. This time I choose XM5!(I didnt give 5 stars because there is a small hole in the earphone wrap, so I cant give it a perfect score)

> 3 dayI want to start off by saying the sound quality is good and the noise cancelling is okay,i honestly do not get all the rave and 5 stars reviews, maybe it’s just me? These feel cheap to me,they are lighweight (which is a plus) but the material makes it feel like $30 walmart headphones.Since we’re on the topic of prices, these are heavily overpriced,i mean are you guys just all filthy rich to spend $400 on these headphones(seeing as they feel cheap) and be okay with it?I wouldn’t pay more than $200 for these headphones (which is what they should be priced at) so yeah i did end up returning them, the main issues being the price and the fact that they feel cheap. Also i found it to be a pain having to connect these to my phone everytime, whenever they were off my head for 5 minutes they’d go into sleep mode which was a pain in the as$ because i’d have to open the app, press the power button,go on my settings and try and reconnect them,i wish they would connect more faster like airpods that connect instantly,so yes these get a 3/5 stars for me

> 3 dayAs an ardent audio enthusiast who owns an array of audiophile headphones, I am absolutely thrilled with my new purchase. These headphones have exceeded my expectations and made a remarkable addition to my collection. What sets these headphones apart, and the main reason for my purchase, was their highly touted noise-cancellation and ambient adjustment features. These features have proven invaluable when I am in crowded environments such as at work or the library, allowing me to truly focus on the task at hand. Whether its delving into a new book or tackling an intricate work project, the world around me falls away, leaving just me and my work. However, what really takes these headphones to the next level is their phenomenal sound quality. I have had the pleasure of listening to many of my favorite tracks with them, and each experience has been an absolute delight. The sound clarity and fidelity have brought a new depth to my music that I had not previously experienced. In conclusion, these headphones deliver an exceptional audio experience while also providing excellent ambient noise management for those seeking a focus-inducing environment. I wholeheartedly recommend them to fellow audiophiles and anyone else seeking high-quality, immersive audio in any environment.

> 3 dayExcellent! I was amazed at how many different sounds I was able to hear. Songs I has been listening for decades that felt I was finally hearing fully with these headphones. Tones, sounds, that were part of the song all along but that I was discovering for the first time with these headphones.
