> 24 hourBought a house with a few bad and improperly grounded outlets, so this was very helpful in finding which to replace or repair. Several outlets were installed with the ground pin up, and this tester has the bottom labeled so this can be used in either direction without having to do mental gymnastics.

> 24 hourSo having just replaced a flaky since we moved in over 20 years ago gfci receptacle in the garage (due to loose wire, but also it turns out due to the top plug-in failed when the plug was plugged all the way in), I wanted to be sure everything is now okey-dokey out there. And it is (checked all the plugs inside the garage and outside). Before that I had also tested all the plugs in the master bathroom (aok) and in the kitchen (aok). Also unfortunately I had tested the guest bathroom plugs. It turns out the only (2-plug) receptacle in there did ground fault when tested, but there is no reset button… so now there are no usable plugs in the guest bathroom. At least the lights and fan in there still work. And in this adjacent bedroom I am in, which shares the same circuit breaker, or so I thought. Hmm… where oh where is the reset button (or breaker (nothing looks amiss in the breaker box))? Edit: Following up, I found out that the guest bathroom and the master bathroom (and all the houses exterior plugs) are all tied to the one gfci plug set in the master bathroom. Also figured out what the two kitchen gfci plug sets were tied to circuit breaker wise, and which other plugs went with which gfci plug (not all of the kitchen plugs it turns out are tied to either of the two gfci plugs). So my mapping of all the plugs and light switches for the entire house is now (even more) complete, helped along by knowing which ones are protected from ground faults and which are not. Great investment. I feel a lot safer.

> 24 hourThis little tester is great for testing any socket for correct wiring and tests correct wiring for gfi circuits. Well worth the money.

> 24 hourWhat can I say, it does what is supposed to do. I recommend it. One problem only: The little printed or painted squares showing the result are super little so if you dont have 20/20 vision anymore you will need your glasses. For that Im giving it 4 stars.

> 24 hourEasy to use and fool proof design. Made it simple to check all the outlets for a new house the we purchased. Actually was able to find several outlets that were wired incorrectly and able to get seller to repair then before the closing on our pre closing inspection.

> 24 hourI purchased these to give to Supervision at our annual training. As a Construction Manager our supervision need to spot check potential live parts. So if they answered a question or participated in the training these were given to them.
