Simply put....one of the best Euro-Style, Worker Placement games to come along in years. And it has a great theme.

Its a heavier game but the rules are manageable. This game is great. What took me so long to buy it? You need to buy this game! And then the coins. And then the expansion, Tuscany. So, put in for some overtime or sell off a child or two. Great fun.

Viticulture is by far one of the best games Ive ever purchased or played. I love everything about it. Its a great worker placement game. I wish that I would have known about it sooner.

Super fun game! It works well for just two people, and there is enough variety of game play that we spent an entire afternoon immersed in the world of Viticulture. Im a better vintner than my significant other (hereafter S/O), which is certainly a plus.

Its not overly complicated, but your first game will be more learning than competitive. Overall its a family favorite for a board game household.

omg omg omg this game is sooooooooo easy to learn, and as many others have mentioned, it is truly beautiful game with cute little cards and beautiful, easy to follow rule manual. At first, I bought this game being skeptical of how fun it would be but bought it because of good reviews. I am glad I listened, I thought the rules were pretty easy for worker placement game and you know how worker placement games can kinda become similar except it comes down to different art and themes. This one is like that but the theme is soooo well executed, you dont really mind the simple, similar mechanic to other worker placement games. 1 round of game is divided into spring and winter season and in spring you put your workers down to jobs related to spring farming jobs like (plowing or buying seeds, etc. I cant really remember exactly what these actions are called) and in winter you put your workers down to actions like harvesting or making wine). The realistic actions make you think you are an actual farmer trying to plant as many different types of grapes as possible and harvesting them and making them into wine and get the most victory points. I love how the specific actions and seasons reminds you of operating an actual farm!!!!! My favorite game is Castle of Burgundy due to high replayability and just so many things you can do to earn your VP and most importantly it makes you really think your expanding your town. This game is not similar because there arent various ways to earn VP, everyone is doing the same thing, you plant your grape, you harvest them, combine the grapes into wine, but everyone is so focused on doing the same job and trying to have the most successful grape vineyard!!!!! Its great. Love this game!!!! I ask my bf to play this game all the time!!!!! He hates it now because this and CoB is like the only game I ask him to play!!!!!!!!!!! Im gonna ask him again right now after I submit this review

My family hates long, drawn out games like Monopoly. Despite the first few games taking 2-3 hours to complete with 3 players, everyone was engaged with the game and wanted to play more. The game times are getting quicker as we improve in our knowledge of the game. This game definitely replaces a lot of older bored games!

An exceptionally accessible worker placement game that is fun for two players. The visitor cards add a degree of uncertainty so unlike many euro games where the playing formula can predictable and almost rote-like, this one can throw a few interesting twists in gameplay. It may take a couple of playthroughs to finally feel comfortable with the choices and timing sequences but then the game will begin to show a good deal of depth and replay ability. The subject is represented so as to not be too abstract so you kind of feel the joy of actually making and building something. Player interaction is not vicious or aggressive other than the occasional blocking of opponents workers but even in this the system allows for other paths to accomplish tasks (enter visitor cards, and grande worker). Its one of our go-to games. We play Italian music while we play. It sets a nice tone.
