Pretty much every game night, my friends have to force me to play something else because Im totally obsessed with this game. The more I play it, the more different ways I realize I can play. You can focus on early resources (money, selling fields, planting, and harvesting), playing it like a card game with the visitors and the cottage, etc. There are so many ways to play and the theme is totally on point. Every action totally makes sense theme-wise. Its a beautiful game and a great time!

My family plays many games that are extremely long, so we sought this one out as a shorter game we could play together. I initially didnt think this game would appeal to me, but my whole family (adults) enjoy this game. I doubt that it would appeal to kids, being that it does rely on strategy and the setting of the game is a winery. This game takes us about 1-2 hours (depending on how well players think of their moves ahead). We enjoy playing this game.

Our family went to Sonoma for a reunion so I bought this for evening game time. At first, it took over two hours and we were all flumoxed and could not understand the rules. No one could sleep at night as we were going over strategies in our minds. The next day and days following, we were quite hooked and it got very competitive!! I am glad I bought the extra metal coins to go with it. Needless to say, this game will be an essential for all future family reunions!

My favorite game. 9/10. Add the Tuscany expansion and it is a 10/10.

This and the basic Catan are my two favorite games. It is strategy, but less competitive than Catan. Sometimes our board game group gets a little too competitive so this is a good break, because you focus on building up your own vineyard and cant really hinder another players plans, but it is a race to win. Its also a little better than Catan because you cant use the same one strategy every time and win, the summer and winter visitor cards can really throw your plans for a loop in a close game or give a losing player a comeback if they are lucky.

I am absolutely in love with this game. The box came nice and undamaged. Components are complete and I LOVE the smell!

I enjoy playing, but between the visitors and the orders both being very chance based I feel like winning is kind of up to luck. That being said, I still like playing, but I wouldnt recommend it for competitive people.
