Targus Laptop Bag Classic Slim Briefcase Messenger Bag, Spacious, Ergonomic, Foam Padded Laptop Case for Devices

I’ve used it almost every day for almost 2 years now and it still looks brand new. It’s become such a standard part of my life, I rarely think about it consciously. I finally realized how long I’ve had it and had to write a review. I’ve traveled around the country with it for work a dozen times and it still shows no sign of wear. I honestly love this thing.

Just received it, fits my new HP 15.9 well and has good pockets for mouse and cords etc. I think this should work well for me and the laptop should be padded.

I work as a field technician and this computer bag is the perfect size for my laptop, battery charger, pens, and a few other accessories. Light weight and good quality. Highly recommend!

I bought a Toca Kickboxx for my husband (which he loves). Because the little snare and tom fit inside the suitcase that is the bass drum, Toca doesnt make separate cases for them, but hubby doesnt always want to take them along to gigs; he wanted two separate protective carrying cases. Now, the Kickboxx isnt nothing at $500 with tax, but at the same time, I didnt want to spend another $100 on 2 drum cases (all of which were too fat anyway). I tried six different types of case, from traditional drum cases to mixer cases to laptop cases. The Targus 15.6 Classic Slim Briefcase Messenger Bag was perfect for these 12 drums plus the attached hardware, and has enough protective padding to make us feel comfortable. I feel these would be perfect for electronic drums, too. At $20 each, they were also the best deal.

Great bag love it. Just enough room & pockets

I do like the bag but it’s a bit small and snug. It is padded well for laptop protection. I actually use it now to carry files for work and it does have pockets for pens, cards etc… can’t put too much in it though.

Amazon product page shows this bag, TCT027, as the 16 bag. When the product arrives, you find out that Targus calls their TCT027 bag the 15.6 bag. The exterior dimensions Targus puts on the product tag (which I have verified as correct) are 16.14x2.36x12.2. For my application, I needed that extra half inch - so ding one star overall. Other than that, for this price point, the bag is exceptionally well constructed. It is made in Cambodia and not China. The shoulder strap anchor D-rings on the bag itself are sewn AND riveted... the webbing handles are box and X stitched. The seams have a bead welt on the exterior face and the interior hems are finished with webbing to cover the raw edges - makes for a bag that is flexible but still holds its shape . The zippers are good quality and operate very smoothly. This bag opens from the top - so, if you slip your laptop in and forget to zip up, it cannot fall out the bottom. Except for the top zipper area, all the rest of the bag feels as if it is padded internally with about 1/4 closed cell foam. The exterior is a nice grade of Cordura-type material and the interior has a grey lining.

I got this slim case mainly for traveling with my laptop. So, I was very pleased to discover that even though it’s slim, the two compartments are very roomy, offering enough space for adding more essential items

This bag holds my MacBook, phone, accessories, and more! A place for everything making it super easy for me to get through security at airport. I also like the strap to free up my hands. It is not bulky, which appeals to me. It is well made. Looks like it will stand up to wear and tear. I’m an artist and even holds small pieces of art!
