Excellent bit, been using it with my x-carve for multiple engravings and they all come out crisp and clean. I accidentally plunged the Z-axis in too deep and had thought it wouldve snapped but surprisingly it didnt. Im writing this review for that reason alone as I was pretty much prepared to purchase another bit but like i said, the bit did not break.

I ordered three of these bits given their price and that I mill a lot of items so its understandable I can go through them quickly. Unfortunately, I feel I broke a record by breaking all 3 within 24 hours of them being delivered. 2 broke almost immediately during milling jobs while one was able to actually complete a job, but it eventually broke immediately on the following job. I am cutting exotic wood species and actually had success with these very same bits and had one that lasted me for about half a year. I am very careful with my equipment and I tend to configure jobs to run at a more cautious level, but even those parameters are too intense for these week bits. These are the most unreliable mills I have ever used. I will be demanding a refund for these weak, faulty products. Do not order these!

Great Bit!!! For the money you can’t beat it. You have to be mindful of DOC and feed rates but it’s a 1/16” bit. I bought two more

Well made at a good price. Thats about all I ask for out of a product.

I purchased two of these bits and both of them broke just after a couple of uses.

wish I would have paid more attention to how short the cutting area was

This is my favorite bit. I use it on my CNC to cut small stuff with a great amount of detail with minimal sanding. These don’t break unless I do something dumb, like dropping them or forgetting to switch the router on...

This is a great set of bits, perfectly graduated for inlay work. The spiral downcut leaves a beautifully smooth bottom & Plunges like butter. These are solid carbide bits and work best at high speed with a slow feed rate. I have paid $30 for a single bit, so this set is a real value.

... but it broke right at the shank essentially as soon as it touched wood for the first time, before it had a chance to move in the x or y. This was just my experience and I have not used this brand in the past, so maybe it was a one-off thing. With a cutting diameter this small, Im sure there are a lot of breakage issues due to user error with improper feeds and speeds. However, I am probably more conservative on F&S than I need to be, especially with specialty bits like this. So I would need to test a few more to determine where the issue lies. Unfortunately, I dont have any more of these right now, so I may try another brand and see how that goes. I will update this review if I get another one and have a chance to see it in action.
