> 3 dayPurchased to increase the ram on my 2013 MacBook pro. It improved the speed…increased from 2x2GB to 2x4GB. Looking at my MacBook specs it tells you specifically that a total of 8 (2x4)GB is the max you can increase it to. I believe some of the newer ones you can go higher. However well spent money….maybe I get another couple years out of it before it needs to be upgraded to a new MacBook

21-12-2024I purchased this product a few months back, but I finally installed this ram into my mid 2012 MacBook Pro two days ago. The computer turned on like normal. So far so good. However, I started to worry when it took a very long time to boot. I put an SSD in this machine a few years back and since then it had booted quickly. My computer recognizes that it has 16gb installed, but opening apps takes much more time than before. My finder is very laggy when I try to browse through folders, use preview, etc. I even have choppy performance just moving m mouse around. I ran several memory tests (memtest86). I couldnt find any errors. My ram isnt broken. It just isnt any good. Spend a few more dollars and get something you can depend on.

> 3 dayI bought these SO-DIMMs for my iMac Late 2014 Retina 2017 to bring it up to 32GB. At first, they didnt work and I got the dreaded beep beep beep which Id never experienced before but apparently means serious RAM issue. I contacted TimeTec support and they provided some very useful tips about testing the new RAM in the slots that the Apple RAM had been in to check whether the vacant slots might have been dusty and also to check whether the system allowed mixed RAM from different vendors. Turns out the slots WERE dusty and after a careful Dysoning, I got the RAM chassis clean again and the new RAM sticks work perfectly. TimeTec replied to my support email within 12 hours which is great considering theyre US based and Im Australian based. So far my system is running really smoothly with the 32GB RAM and stability seems great. Would buy Timetec again.
