> 24 hourTLDR: This is a very good, well-made - and good looking - pack, with lots of compartments for different items, good water resistance, good padding around the laptop, and still in a rather small & light package. Would make a very good business / travel pack but for school or regular use need to really consider how youll load it. The good: Cordura ballistic nylon, taped seams, and a repellent front section mean this bag will give you no worries in light rain. All construction is tight and high quality -- no concerns there with one possible exception for the top handle (see below). There are four (yes 4) compartments. All are full length (which is a bit of a shame, see below) so you have lots of options for separately packing flattish stuff of various types. I like this for a travel bag laid out as follows: Front compartment - travel stuff (book/kindle, snacks, headphones, etc), 2nd compartment - spare clothes packed flat with a 1/2 length pouch (in the top section) for toiletries and the like, 3rd compartment - business folders/papers and a couple of 1/2 length pockets (bottom section) for chargers, cables, batteries, etc. and finally the back (4th) compartment holds the laptop. On the outside are two thin, water bottle pockets. All that and I didnt even mention a couple of extra organizational dividers in various places. So yea, if youre a flat packer, this bag has lots of options and it works very well. Recommended. The not so good: That top handle: They went with a plastic band -- god knows why? Perhaps they thought it looked sleeker or something? The band is not comfortable when the bag is fully loaded and Im worried how well the plastic will hold up under heavy use. But few carry a pack by the top handle much so this is probably a minor concern for most people. All those compartments are full length. This feeds the universal problem with most all backpacks: Everything falls to the bottom. So unless youre putting in things that are long & flat, youre not going to get full use out of the compartments because the contents will just fall toward the bottom and stack making for a very awkward load. They put in a couple sets of 1/2 pockets but only 1 is at the top to help alleviate this problem. Its a real shame as they missed an opportunity here. Most bag designers dont want to build in this much structure because it makes the empty bag heavy and thick before you even start using it. But Tomtoc has done a really great job (truly one of the best Ive seen) of building in multiple compartments without the bag feeling overdone. But they should have staggered one of the pockets to make it a half length from the top. This allows you to load items at the top of the bag and get better load distribution. Dont get me wrong: Its a very nice bag and very useful. I like it a lot. If you are usually packing things youre not worried about falling to the bottom (books, folders, tablet), youll probably really like this bag. Definitely recommended in that case. But I cant give it a full recommendation because most people do have this problem and, at least for me, the multiple pockets kind of make it worse. Ive rated the bag 5 stars because if it fits you, I expect youll like it a lot. And the price is definitely right for this level of construction. But make sure you like the layout (its tough to photograph but hopefully the pictures give you a good idea) or you wont rate it 5 stars. Other nits: A couple of the zippers go down into the water bottle pocket area making them difficult to work when the bag is loaded and bottles are in the pockets. The straps are a little plain and padding is average. I assume this was to keep the sleek look so if you like that, you wont have any issue with the straps.

> 24 hourI cannot figure out how this brand isnt muchore popular. Originated in California, their designs andaterial choices are top notch, competing with the boutique popular brands at 3x the cost, but seemingly better inany regards. I have been running with a cheap 25$ Chinese brand for work and commuting for a year now, but wanted something more durable, bigger without losing much on the organization side. After researching all the most popular commuter focused brands like Aer, Topology, Bellroy, etc etc, I accidentally found this bag just stumbling thru random Google searches. When comparing coat vs material choices vs design, it met all my must haves somehow better than the other brands which always had some level of compromise that I had to deal with. Being 3x the cost, the bigger known brands either had bad organization, outlandish style over function designs, or just ridiculously high prices! So far, this bag has gone to Europe for business trips, been used as my local commute to work as well as plane travel on bag, and it has met and exceeded expectations. This specific model looks sleek, has been very rugid, handling being thrown around or over stuffed, and protect laptop or other electronics like a champ. Weather wise it is amazingly quality, with ykk zippers some being the weatherproofed ones it has handled light and heavy rain without issue. I even saw a YouTube video of a guy hosing the bag down, then showing no water penetration in the compartments! Long story short. Fantastic Bag, mid-range price, top end materials, rugid well built and so far I have high hopes for long term life of the bag. Competitive with bag brands at 3x the cost!

> 24 hourI like the materials alot, it feels very premium. I got this for my work laptop and work trips. Hopefully it holds up! Seems like it will. If it doesnt, it was still such a good price. I also really like the organization pockets.

> 24 hourGreat backpack, feels durable, lots of space, and comfortable to wear. I only wish that it had more smaller zippered interior pockets and that the grab handle wasnt this plastic material. It has a lot of open interior pockets, but I wish they were separated with zippers. The grab handle feels nice, but Im afraid it could be the first part to break in the future.

> 24 hourIntially it was smaller than I thought it would be, but all of the pockets and space really adds up! Its a great bag, so many amazing design perks. One thing is the top handle is not made of great material and if you plan on carrying it that way for long periods it may hurt your hands. However, I almost never use it for more than a few seconds here or there.

> 24 hourI took a chance on this backpack as $99 is a lot to spend on one but I’m quite pleased so far with it. Being from the PNW, it can be wet a good portion of the year and for those of us who take public transportation, we need to make sure our contents are protected within our bags. 26L for a day to day pack is plenty for me and I found that it had more than enough space to keep everything I needed. The laptop compartment is well padded and I didn’t need my sleeve at all and the main compartment had space for any books, other electronics, snacks, misc. items, etc. The front pocket was a bit disappointing, it had space but only being able to access it from a small top zipper was an issue. I prefer to have a front pocket that unzips at least half way down the sides for easier access. Fit wise, it worked well on my petite frame (I’m 5’4”) and was comfortable to wear during the day. I like the bag a lot but I couldn’t honestly justify the price tag on this as there are other bags that are much cheaper which do just as good of a job.

> 24 hourIve been a Tomtoc user since 2015 and for good reason, their stuff just works. This pack screams premium quality, and its well worth the price. The pack is built like a tank but not heavy. The dedicated laptop compartment is one of the finest Ive seen in any pack and the built-in organization is top-notch. I like that its slim and not too deep. Most backpacks that can fit as much stuff as this one can, are way too deep and actually throw off your balance. This pack hugs your back and creates a pretty low profile, so its super comfy. BTW, another user said this pack is flimsy when its empty, um, no. Due to the materials used, this pack could almost stand up on its own when empty, not flimsy at all. I paired this pack with Tomtocs 10-inch electronic organizer as well as their sleeve and its become the perfect combo for me and my everyday carry.

> 24 hourI was looking for something small but large enough to secure (in separate pockets) a 13” MacBook pro & a 12.9” ipad pro. I got a swiss gear and this to compare and I decided to go with this even though it was double the price. The swiss gear was nice but i like the comfort of the tomtok & the build quality. My wife made the decision (based on looks) and said no question go with tomtok. Very happy with my purchase. Came with a nice box as well, where it he swiss gear came in plastic bag. Tomtok for the win
