> 24 hourGot it, scanned the qr code on my Android phone to get the app, then on the outlet to add it to my controls in the app. Plugged it in, and it worked right away. I use it right at the limit of its rating to power an oil filled space heater in my home office. The app lets me start the heater about 30 min before I start my work day. It also tuns it off for me after the day is over. This unit even has a button on the side to run the switch manually. My first smart home gizmo and Im loving it so far.

> 24 hourSet up the device in a minute and it works with my Echo perfectly. For people who need a smart plug with reasonable price, this is definitely the right choice.

> 24 hourAllows for fairly complicated schedules with up to 20 events per plug.

> 24 hourThese little plugs are the best! They are easy to set up and integration with Alexa is simple. I tried other brands but the Tapo outshines those by a mile. Sometimes they lose connection (thats bound to happen), and if the plug need to be completely reset (in the app) and reinstalled, you have a choice of keeping the previous settings or programming new ones. Only one glitch; if the plug does need to be reinstalled and is being used with a smart device, like Echo, for example, and is in a group, then the plug will need to be added to the group again. For example: you have a group called office and a group called all on, but you had to reset the lights plug. After resetting it, you would need to tell your Echo to add lights to the all on group and add lights to the office group.

> 24 hourAlthough I dont like having two apps. You are able to integrate and control from Alexa but you still have to download their app to register initially. Takes up space on my iphone and too many apps. ** I originally gave this a 5 star, but after a few months usage, it keeps getting disconnected from the router or just doesnt connect. I keep getting the Alexa saying the device is off. I bought an amazon plug during the same period and that one has yet to fail. Review changed to 1 Star

> 24 hourPros: Much cheaper than TP-Link Kasa product line. Apps works fine with plenty features. Slim design & save space & looks good. Cons: Need to download a separate app - not work with existing Kasa app. May block the other plug in the wall plate.

> 24 hour10A max on this device. Most of your outlets support 15A or more. May not be safe for heaters, AC, refrigerators, and other high-amperage devices. Be safe...do your homework!

> 24 hourThis Tapo plugs are great. They are a bit too big and cover the outlet. The app is not as common though. For example, it works with Google Home, but for a Windows Phone (yet, I still have one) I use an app called Home Control and it is not found there.
