> 3 dayI got this device to reduce the run-time of my inefficient refrigerator. I let the device track the run-time hours of my fridge (~20 hours per day) and then easily programmed it to reduce my total run-time per day by a few hours. I turn it off from 2-3AM, 4-5AM, and 11AM-12PM. This will save me about $75 per year on my electric bill, so the initial cost is well worth it.

> 3 dayI bought one of these Tapos to control a bedroom light via Amazon Echo (Alexa). It worked for a year and half and then stopped working with Alexa. It continues to work with the Tapo app but using the Tapo app is inconvenient for me. The Tapo app suggested changing the router DNS configuration but I am not willing to do that. So why this stopped working after all this time is a mystery but I have moved on to Leviton Alexa compatible devices. While doing a kitchen remodeling project I needed a Decora style dimmer wall switch which led me to discover Leviton. Leviton also makes Alexa compatible plugs so I consolidated all my devices to Leviton for convenience sake. After 2 months, so far, so good. Another advantage to the Leviton plug is that it only covers one plug of a wall outlet.

> 3 dayTrash little plug. It finds your Bluetooth about 50% of the time, It finds my Wi-Fi 100% of the time, it connect to my Wi-Fi 0% of the time. 2 hrs of trouble shooting for zero soultion... POS.... I wouldnt buy a single product from this company.

> 3 dayUsing it in my father-in-laws dining room to turn 2 lamps on using the schedule function. He usually uses those horrible plug in times with the wheel and all the buttons. This is much easier and I have heard no complaints. Havent even had to hook it up to his Alexa, because the timer function in the app works so well.

15-12-2024I have many of these smart devices. This one was on sale. So I purchased two of them. For some reason they were shipped a few days apart. Of course you have to install their app to intergrate it with Alexa. You cant install the device on their app unless you give them LOCATION permission. You cant skip it. NOTHING. WHY WHY do these companies think they need to track your location. Read the privacy policy. Most likely to sell your data to a 3rd party. Plus the company is in China. I went ahead and installed the device but then went into the app permission afterwards and removed the location permission. The second deivce arrived. I went to install it. Turned on the app. Again, first thing it says. You must give location permission. No way around it. I uninstalled the app and returned the devices. Paid for a few extra dollars for the Amazon brand that you dont have to allow location tracking. There is absolutely no reason why they need your location!

> 3 dayBought this for my sons nursery because the plug for his lamp was in an area that was hard to reach and this plug makes it short easy to turn the light out just by using my voice with the echo dot. You can also control the light with the Tapo app as well which is super easy to use too! Great value
