Greater than one weekAwesome price for this unit. Great if you need a rack mount outlet with outlets on the FRONT!

> 3 dayThe outlets are of high quality, and inside nearly all connections are soldered using quality wire. Only complaint is the sellers ship this in its factory packaging which is insufficient - so the chances of receiving it with a bent rack ear or whatnot is very high. Just note Tripp Lite does not offer replacement rack ears.

> 3 dayI own two of these surge protectors. One of them is installed in my equipment rack, serving several of my servers and switches. I place the second unit under my living room couch. The low profile makes it a perfect fit under the couch. This provides surge protector for my laptop when I am using it on the couch. I also have an LED reading lamp and a cordless phone base station connected to it. This protector is very heavy and solid. I think this is much better than those plastic consumer units, even though it costs a little more. It has good surge protection rating. I highly recommend it.

> 3 dayI have this unit installed on my mobile Dj preamp/amp rack. This is a all metal, professional quality, sturdy power tap. I like the fact of having taps on the front and back of the unit so I can leave everything connected when I put the covers on the rack making setup much easier. Havent used the spike protection feature on the unit yet (hope to never have to) but I am confident it will do its job. I have two class H amps and one class D connected. I also run my laptop, controller, phone charger and with the amps running just below clipping and this unit has not tripped its breaker. The power switch cover is also handy to prevent accidentally turning it off and the unit is quiet with no hum or inline noise. Money well spent in my book.

> 3 dayEverything about this piece of equipment fits my needs. However, if you need to reorient the installation bracket, you may have a challenge on your hands. The screws are very small Phillips flat head machine screws that are maybe as large as a #0 Phillips. Thats the size youd expect inside a computer case or even to hold the Power Strip case itself together which it does. The problem is that those screws for the brackets are factory tightened to a torque that makes them sometimes hard to remove and two tiny screws on each end for an almost 5 pound item is OK but a silly design. On one of the end brackets, one screw came out without a problem but the other required rotating the bracket to remove. Thats a 25% failure rate. If both screws had the same problem then I would have needed to use extreme measures and probably destroy the old screws and buy new ones. Again, silly design.

Greater than one weekperfect item in a server room for plugging up anything that wont fit into the PDU units. We use these at work to plug spare PCs up and have them connect to our PDU then UPS units to keep them on.
