TULIP Fabric Dye 37934 Fdy Lg Mermaid 5-Color 4Oz Kit, Detailed

I bought this kit at Hobby Lobby and I absolutely LOVE how it came out! I havent tie dyed anything since I was like 9 so I was nervous. I have a few tips if, like me, you havent done it in forever: * Do it outside if you can. It was too cold here so I ended up doing it in my bathtub but I lined the bottom of my tub with plastic wrap to prevent stains. Doing that worked perfectly. * When you fill the bottle, close the lid well, hold your finger over the cap tight, and shake it really well away from your face. I ended up with a few small dark flecks in my dye from not shaking it well enough but it doesnt bother me. * Once you dye your stuff, place them in individual zip loc bags and let them sit for a full day. * Rinse in cool water until the water runs clear. Then wash on warm (or cold) with only a little soap and the largest load size/most water possible. Dry as normal (I just did a medium heat dry cycle). Im happy with the results and plan to dye more stuff soon!

Great colors

Our shirts came out great and the dye was super easy to use. Even our 3 year old had fun making her own shirt.

I started tie dyeing and could not understand why I had pink dots on my shirts when I hadnt even opened the pink dye packet. Turns out all the dye packets were leaking from their sealed pouches so I got dye all over my workspace and colors on my shirts that I didnt intend. I was able to wipe it off my workspace, but my shirts were ruined.

I loved everything about this. It was easy and fun to use. Made over a dozen shirts.

No more messy tubs of different colors, this was so easy to use I will definitely be creating more tie dye things!

Every year we do a family tie dye day. We always have great success with Tulip dyes and the shirts hold their color for years. My granddaughters loved the Mermaid color selection!
