This 5.5 x 8.5 Spiral Bound Sketch Pad contains 30 pages of natural white sheets that are neutral pH and acid free. This pad is useful for sketching, writing, and drawing with pencils, pens, and markers. Since this Sketch Pad is spiral bound, I found it very useful to glue small alphabet flashcards with craft glue in it of another language I am learning. As I glued the flashcards onto the Sketch Pad, I didnt notice any of the parts of the pages coming lose from the spiral. The letter flashcards can be flipped when the pages are ready to be turned. I included space below the flashcards to practice writing the letters in different styles. The space on the back of the pages can be used to practice writing the letters also. I used a thin marker to title this sketch pad. I love the way the ink glided on smoothly to the paper from the marker. I also used some colored pencils to practice writing out some of the letters on the flashcards. The pencils also glided on smoothly to this paper. I also love the way that this paper brought out the richness of the marker and colored pencils I used. I believe this paper pad has a variety of uses...it not only can be used for sketching and drawing but I think it would be great as a mini journal and scrapbook, also. Cant Draw Layers With Like Copic Markers, Great Pencil Sketch Paper.

I simply do not think the texture and the weight of the paper synergize. My honest opinion of this sketchbook is that it is not worth the money. You are way better off buying a canson for the intended medium.

My roomie was so excited to get these as he hasnt had a chance to draw for some time.
