My son bought this for gaming. It had a nice picture and he thought it would be great for gaming. He was so excited to receive it. Unfortunately, it had dead pixels and he had to return it. It arrived promptly and seller processed refund promptly. Maybe he just got a defective one. He is still trying to find a replacement.

No dead pixels, high refresh rate and cheap. But the Plug for the power makes a constant high pitch buzz when the monitor is off or isnt displaying anything. Loud enough that I can hear it across the room.

The first one I ordered had a dead pixel (or two) in the bottom left corner, which was sort of bearable, but Viotek has a dead pixel warranty, and its $300 so wanted to get good value for that money. The second one had 4 or 5 defective pixels on black. I was joking with a friend that this might happen with the replacement, but didnt expect that it actually would. I didnt even bother taking the time to set it up this time; just took the monitor out, plugged it in, and ran the Eizo monitor test. If youre even a little OCD, you might want to reconsider this model, or take the gamble and see if youll get a better result than I did. Im probably going to be getting an ASUS, LG, Gigabyte, or MSI monitor, though the specs (on paper at least) probably will not be as impressive as this one.

So far, for the price this is a great monitor, fast refresh rate if you use display port 1.4 cable, if you use hdmi youre limited, I was lucky and had zero dead pixels from the get go, I just had it for a week, if you use the hdr feature with windows 10 it looks weird, just set it for games only, also if you activate hdr in the monitor you cant set up other settings for the way the image looks like so deactivate hdr, set up the things you want and enable hdr again
