After installing this in my PS5, the PS5 was unable to format it. The screen went to black and the PS5 shut off. Upon reboot, the behavior repeated over and over. I removed the drive and my PS5 behaved normally again. Im going to conclude the drive is not formatted in a way the PS5 can read it to reformat it. I would avoid this drive and will be returning it.

Bought for my for Christmas. Playstation 5 has been shutting off during game play. Finally figured out this was making it overheat and shut down. After the playstation being on for 2 minutes the memory card becomes very hot.

Crazy fast speeds

I installed a heatsink and left the cover to the m.2 slot open, and it works well for extra storage for the PS5. Im very pleased with the speed and have not experienced any errors after the install.

Bought the 2TB without a heatsink and attached a third party heatsink (15 bucks) and runs like a charm. Its easy to install and the PS5 recognized it and formatted it within seconds. Performs even better than the console SSD.

Saving over files is fast.
