Simply the best SSD you can get for PS5, period. When that tax return hits, you know we on a shopping spree! I purchased this for my ps5 due to the fact that I hate uninstalling games to make space to install a new or old game or for the simple fact of big file updates. Shipping was pretty quick. Install was a breeze, now to put it to the test!

Product arrived faster than I expected. I was able to install this in my ps5 quite easily.

Fist of all, I’m not a tech guy, and I don’t normally open my game systems for any reason. After watching a video, it was very easy to not only install, but to format and use. Took me less than 3 min to install. Though the price is more than an external, I wanted an internal drive. Games load and run flawlessly from the drive. I did use the cover over the drive, and the console does reside in a cabinet that is well ventilated(mesh front door, and a couple of usb fans in back of cabinet). I’ve played long enough to have to switch controllers twice due to battery low in one setting and never has my PS5 overheated. Bottom line; little more expensive than an external HD, but works very well, doesn’t take up a usb slot and load speeds are extremely fast. Again, I don’t have clocked speeds or thermal information, I’m just a gamer who started in 1979 with an Atari 2600. Would buy again with what I know now.

I bought this to put my OS on from my old much smaller ssd that was left over from a partial rebuild of my pc (I upgraded my motherboard, cpu and ram). Works flawlessly and migrating my OS went without issue.

PS5 speed with latest software as of Oct 2022, got shy of 6800.

Installation was 2 minutes. Unfortunately they ran out of the heatsink bundle so I took a chance with SABRENT HEATSINK FOR PS5 for $20 and it works like a charm! I have the full 4TB and I can’t wait to add more pre orders knowing I don’t have to delete any games!
