Western Digital 1TB WD Blue SN570 NVMe Internal Solid State Drive SSD - Gen3 x4 PCIe 8Gb/s, M.2 2280, Up to 3,500 MB/s - WDS100T3B0C

I bought 2 of these 2TB NVME hard drives. they are good for older Gen3 motherboards. im using a ryzen 9 5900x and a rog strix X470-F Motherboard and found that the second slot for NVME gets 2000mb/s as the first slot gets the rated 3500mb/s. if you are looking for good NVME M.2 hard drive for an older board get this they do work well.

I used this 500GB SSD to replace the built-in 256GB SSD in my HP pre-built desktop PC. I installed Windows 11 on the drive along with a bunch of programs and files and I haven’t had a single issue with the drive. Definitely the best drive at the under-$40 price range. Period.

Ordered this just for my OS and it works great

The speed on this is very fast compared to the sata ssd that I used before. I partitioned it and added Win 10 and Linux mint dual boot in UEFI mode. It works with no issues.

unfortunately I did not get around to installing this until after the return period expired. The SSD has all kinds of errors. I wasted a lot of time trying to install it in windows. I wasnt sure the card was the problem with my computer so I tried installing linux and it installed but it found too many errors on the SSD card and crashed.

Works well and fits perfectly in my 2015 Macbook Air 13 inch using the Sintech NGFF M.2 nVME SSD Adapter Card. Mounting screw lines up perfectly and the NVme does not flex (lays perfectly flat) when inserted into the NVMe connector on the logic board. Installed macOS Catalina from a USB flash drive (since Internet Recovery is not supported on non-official Apple drives). Read/write speeds are reasonably fast and I have not had any sleep/hibernation/resume issues nor have had any battery issues.

Drive came as ordered and is performing well however I downloaded the WD Dashboard and it says the sn570 I thought Id ordered shows up as a sn530. Still its a 2TB drive and have no complaints, it is what it is. It may not have the 3500MB/s but I havent done a speed test so cannot confirm this. May have to contact WD for confirmation of this as this is the Amazon ad I bought from!

Really love the high speeds, lets see if time confirms this was an excellent value purchase.

I’m shocked by the speed. For $120, this is very fast. I highly recommend this for video editing or transcoding purposes. I already see a big improvement to my previous ssd when it comes to transcoding videos.

My CPU only supports gen. 3 PCIe so a gen. 4 was not needed. After a month or so of use, this unit continues to function very well. It is fast to load the OS and applications. No complaints.
