o I have a dead spot in the basement of my house. There were multiple options to try and remedy this (including ethernet over powerline, a long cord, or a second router), but this was a cheap and easily set up repeater. Set up is very easy. Plugging it into the outlet turns it on and you can connect to the wifi SSID and then open your captive browser page to modify the settings. When you connect to your home network, it will then piggy back off your home router and broadcast a new SSID.I place this repeater at a spot I had 2-3 bars of wifi reception (on my phone). Now areas where I was not able to get reception, Im getting 4 bars from the repeater (about 2-3 bars from the home router if you consider the chain). this easily extended my range about 30-40 ft including through multiple walls. This is great as I have a few devices that I wanted to use as headless servers int eh basement to keep them out of the way.I also like how this only uses a single outlet without blocking the second outlet (the plug can be rotated by pushing down on the tab). Ethernet is a nice addition, but being a repeater was the main purpose of this device.In terms of usage as a router. Here are the different scenarios for usage:1) Connect directly to the internet through the ethernet and function as a WAN for 5 devices.2) Be a repeater by connected to a wireless internet and rebroadcast the same SSID. This essentially extends the range of your original wireless network.3) Connect to the internet through wifi, but broadcast a separate SSID. This allows you to let people connect to your wireless network using a guest SSID and password without allowing them to connect to your actual router/modem.Please note that i was provided a review sample.

Seems to be working fine. Set up link didnt work. Had to look up Netgear IP address (or whatever) to perform setup. Kinda frustrating at 1st, but a quick google for how to set up netgear range extender provided help.

Works great! Had a few settings to change, but only took about 30 minutes to get it set up. 3500 sf house (2 story) and I have excellent wireless signal throughout!

I was having trouble with wifi in my bedroom. This was a great solution. Now i have full signal and it was easy to set up as well!

Oustanding extender - performs as expected without issues. If you need to restart your wi-fi it may need to be reset but is very rare - Absolutely works to extend the range of your wi-fi and is invaluable in ensuring wi-fi through my 3000 sq ft house.

This range extender was easy to install and works great, even through walls! Were so happy with it, were getting another one for upstairs. Cant recommend it enough.

Extremely easy to set up! Works better than any other extender weve used. It works good enough that it reaches a second house (on the same property) and it gives enough signal that they could stream videos etc. BUT once we plugged it in, it seemed to make our regular wifi connection poor. The good thing about this one is you can take it places like hotels and it will make a private connection (harder to hack than an open wifi signal). Im not exactly tec savy so when I say easy set up I mean easy lol and Im sure theres 100 other things you can do with this one as it gave me options but I was only interested in using as an extrender. We purchased an Amazon warehouse deal so there werent any directions but as soon as I plugged it in and went on my phone to the extender wifi name it went right to set up! We can stream videos over 400 ft away on a smart TV and our devices so I would say its pretty good. We had a belkin extender, it worked but not good enough to use for videos etc and only worked maybe 200ft at most, was spotty and then the extender stoped working in 8 months.

This is working great so far. Been installed for several weeks now and no problems. I extended the WIFI to my basement with this.

This extender was very easy to setup with our Apple Airport Extreme (which I had heard these types of products sometimes have difficulty getting along with each other). I unboxed and plugged the unit into the wall. Then I used the webpage setup to configure.
