I bought this inexpensive Wi-Fi extender to use in hotel rooms. I work out of a hotel room and the house wifi invariably disconnects every 5 minutes in spite of the signal strength showing Excellent.When I received the Wi-Fi Range Extender, it took about 10 minutes to set it up successfully (5 minutes to get it out of the box). The setup was as smooth as glass. After connecting through the extender I did not get disconnected even once.I like this.

Purchased due to sketchy Internet service in our upstairs. Easy installation and since we have plugged it in we have had no more problens. Very happy with this!

So far so good. Had real problems with getting a signal upstairs, but this is a game changer. Full 4-5 bars everywhere. Some people are reporting slow speeds to their existing wifi or half speeds using this device - this has not been our experience. We did have an issue that we easily remedied. My son moved the extender to a new outlet and after that for some reason it would not accept the password. So, we just did a quick hard reset. To do this, it must have power (we learned this the hard way). You need a paper clip to do it. Just keep it powered up, and with paper clip press the reset button on bottom of unit, holding it for 8-10 seconds. Then, making sure you are on the new TPLINK network, go to tplinkrepeater.net and just reset it. Will keep you posted if this is a recurring problem.

This extender did a perfect job of fixing the spotty connection in the back rooms of our house. Streaming netflix in our bedroom required the door open and significant buffering, and there was no internet in our bathroom. With this extender, our internet now shows no discernable differnce in quality anywhere in our home!. The repeater is extremely easy to use and the set up is a breeze. The setup and can be done either via direct link to router, protected setup (pushing buttons on both units) or via computer and web interface. I chose the later, plugged it into the wall, connected to it and followed the very simple steps on my computer and was up in running within 5 minutes. The unit has lights on it that show its connection to the router as well as devices. If you plug it in and a light is amber or red, it is just a simple matter of moving it a bit closer and trying again.. With it set up and all lights showing green, the connection is fast enough to stream high definition video without issue.As some reviewrs have mentioned, whats even better is that this unit has use as an access point to. It can be plugged directly in to a hotel Ethernet connection, for example, giving you your own private wireless in your room. Not only is this connection often faster than conneting to hotel wireless, but this setup allows you to make a personal WPA secure connection between your computer and the extender as an added layer of security.All in all fantastic product and value.

I originally got this because my brother recommended it to me for the wifi at our fathers house. I ended up using it at my house and I fell in love. I am actually planning on buying another one to have at my dads since I also need to extend the wifi there as well. The reason that I gave it a 4 out of 5 is the fact that it does get a little slow and wonky sometimes. But it is extremely easy to set up and it does exactly what it says it does.

Took sometime to get it to connect, its slow to start but once its working, worked great, 30db increase in signal in a garage.

Did the trick. Had one room in the house far from the router that had poor signal. At times neighbors WiFi would come in stronger and knock the computer off. Bought this per recommendation and it works well. Easy to set up.

Works very well to get rid of dead spots in the house. Easy to match to modem and well worth the price.It is a good wifi extender. It has a long coverage, easily covers a three story home.
