I am not an artist. My opinion on the quality of the actual paint is therefore probably not worth much. Paint: Its red, its thick, and when mixed with a bit of mineral spirits, it is very stinky. The color is rather dull, and not as bright as I had hoped, but thats probably exactly how its supposed to be. Seems to have a bit of a brownish orange cast to it, almost like brick. Oh, by the way, Im also colorblind. Literally. Not figuratively. Just a bit, but enough. Anyway, what Id really like you to know is that the paint arrived packed in a thin walled cardstock box, inside of a padded envelope. Not really how I would have packed it, and I spent several years as a manager and engineer inside the warehousing industry. However, despite that, it was fully intact. Another useful point is that when I opened the tube, the paint had not separated from the oil (at the tube opening anyway) as some others have experienced. Would I recommend it? Sure, why not. Good price (I think?), lots of paint, very smelly. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be. No, wait, that was Thanos speaking. Ill just stop now.

Black oil should always be mixed when learning how to paint because black tends to ruin other intended color within your painting. But for the price its as good as paint gets anymore. Any brand you buy these days comes with a generous amount of oil mixed with a stingy percent of the actual pigment.

The first time I bought oil paint I bought them from my local Michaels store. I spend probably the same amount on way less paint and the brand is the exact same. Michaels gave me discounts but this is still a way better deal. This paint is high quality (with lots of nice pigment), and a great price. If youre a painter I highly recommend buying your paint here.
