Setup didnt take long, though in todays relative lack of patience, it felt like kind of a long time. Maybe 2 minutes to get some of the lights to come on to the status at which you expect them to - power, wi-fi link, and device link just take a little while to finally come to their senses. Its probably 45 seconds, but it feels like a good 5 minutes while youre staring at the stupid thing, waiting for the next step.Plug it in near the router, wait for power light, hit the WPS buttons on this and my TrendNet router, wait for wi-fi link to show, move it closer to the dead/weak zone, plug in, wait for the wi-fi link to change to green, and youre good!Allegedly, the wi-fi link LED shows you how strong the signal is (red? move it closer to the router. orange? move it a little closer), but when I plugged mine in, it was orange for a while until it finally linked up and then it was green, and it has been working GREAT for me. Our router is about 2/3 of the way toward the back of the house, downstairs. I plugged this in, upstairs, about 1/3 of the way toward the back of the house. I was struggling to get halfway decent speeds from the front room upstairs before, but with this extender, its been smooth sailing.Have not yet noticed if my phone (Pixel XL) has been automatically switching between the original and extender, but I know that Ive manually pushed it to do so before.Regardless, it was an easy setup, I got it cheap on Prime Day ($25) and for that price I couldnt be happier with the results. Well be moving some rooms around in the coming months, which may move them further apart, testing the limits of the range, etc. Hopefully Ill remember to come back here and update.

Working great as a booster. Good quality and easy to configure. Connecting devices was automatic, has extended the wireless range to double the distance with strong signal.Love this, a necessity for my upstairs room. The wifi never came in good upstairs until I bought this. It was SOOO easy and fast to connect and set up. THanks, this product is a lifesaver.

Set up pretty easily, even though I dont have a recent router with the auto setup button. Strong coverage of my entire house now. Using with D-Link DIR-655 router. Provided good TV streaming with my Roku.

I was a bit surprised how easy install was after reading comments a few viewers were having. Two things to point out..... 1 make sure you sync all devices to this wifi signal while it is still plugged into outlet near router before moving it to area of weak signal.. i missed this step in the instructions and had to reset device and try a second time. 2. use laptop or pc to be first setup device ( i tried both ipads first and couldnt get it to work ) once setting up on PC all devices including 2 ipads iphone and firestick worked like a charm!! I have a consistent full 5 bars signal now in my office where I once had 2 to 3 !!

My signal was not reaching the tv in the gym area which is on the far side of the house. Bought this and viola! TV is working great. Nice small design and set up was quick and easy. Highly recommend!!

Works perfect on the other side of house. It provides great amplitude however for some reason after sometime it wont give signal so you have to unplug it and plug it again to the wall for it to work again. So happy has my two boys stopped complaining about dropped internet. Highly highly recommend and sooo pretty easy to get up and running.

Setup was not as intuitive as it should have been, but this is a great value and does the job. If you are comfortable with less than plug and play setup this is a bargain

Works real good and I ran speed test and my internet upstairs in our house almost matches down stairs speed next to wireless router

Great repeater. Needed a boost from my upstairs router to my downstairs Chromecast. This did the trick. No lag on video playback.
