> 3 dayMy first ACER lasted a little over a year before it died. I saved up and purchased this ACER and it is pretty much DOA. The manufacturer wanted me to ship for up to 10 business days. Dont have time for that so returned through Amazon. Done with this brand.

21-12-2024Laptop did not turn on or recognize power source when plugged in. Looks like a nice expensive paperweight. The laptop was received in a large cardboard Box commaxe come up about twice the size of the product Box. Possibly damaged during delivery because there was plenty of space to bounce around. After looking at reviews it seems that this power issue is a common issue for this laptop.

> 3 dayIf youre looking for a affordable gaming laptop, Im sure this model came up. I mean, it looks cool, pricing appears reasonable, and theres room for upgrades, so whats not to like right? Well if only it was that simple.

> 3 dayWhen I opened the laptop and plugged it in there was absolutely no activity, charging light did not turn on and laptop had no precharge. After a panicky hour of trying to figure out whats wrong with my brand new very expensive laptop, and realizing how many one star reviews were here for this exact issue, I cannot stress this enough, SHOVE THE CHARGER IN. It is VERY SNUG and you really REALLY have to push it hard. There is a very significant click of the charger going in, and as soon as it did everything was fine. Havent used it yet, but wanted to update, as I now understand what all the one star reviews about this laptop being DOA are really about. Happy gaming!

Greater than one weekMe and my husband decided to get this laptop as he needed a more powerful PC for his old Macbook used for web development and programming and I wanted to have something that we could use to game with on the go. None of us have bought a new laptop in many many years, let alone a gaming laptop vs a business oriented laptop or budget/lightweight laptop. This seemed like a great compromise between new tech/hardware, easily upgradable in terms of ram, and something that wasn’t super super flashy or expensive. We’ve never had a PC with some of this hardware on it but we both were familiar with it in any case. We both spent the last two months with it to get an idea of the feel for this laptop in different use cases and so on.

> 3 dayI had this laptop about 3 months now and everything still seems to be doing pretty good. the temp never went over 200 degrees F... but I do have it on a cooling pad, and I turn the internal cooling fans on the highest settings with the nitro sense when i play something somewhat intensive and I dont play many intensive games. the I5 core will most likely have a rough time playing the latest games but it will run something like escape from tarkov like butter at 75 to over 100 fps in ultra-settings. you might want to get another 8gig stick of ram to pop in and upgrade the ssd storage but over all Im very satisfied for what this computer is and can do. it is my very first gaming laptop and I feel it somewhat replaced my xbox. for someone whos never had a dedicated laptop for gaming or a computer at all, I feel this is one of the best first steps into pc gaming.
