This has great color accuracy, great picture quality. Gets REALLY bright if you need it to be. Controls are pretty simple, and refresh rate even goes up to 170

The Acer VG271U is a wonderful monitor for the price, it has all the guts you need to do so elegantly. The contrast is fantastic and the brightness is good as well! The stand that comes with the monitor however is really not worth its own time and I reccomend buying a VESA mount that can hold its own against wobble. I would definayely purchase this product again if my desk had more room to handle it.

I have two of these. I’ll get right out there with the elephant in the room. These things suffer from some of the worst image retention I’ve ever seen in an IPS panel. It’s worse when you flip them to HDR mode. It’s not burn in but retention. After a while the retained image fades. Now if you aren’t using these things to look at excel all day for work, but rather for gaming. They are great. Good colors, decent specs, solid price. Just know that both of mine retain images to the same degree so I’m reluctant to assume I got a bad set.

as most of you are probably doing in these self isolating times you are looking for a new monitor. and if like me are seeing countless terrible reviews from people who simply dont know what they are talking about discourages you from buying a monitor it can be extremely frustrating. overall very happy with this purchase no dead pixels the BLB and other problems people are talking about arent present. maybe i got lucky but the build quality seems great. games look better. dont expect this to be mind blowing although it does look better it is only 1440 not 4k.. so once you get that straight you wont be disappointed or angry because of lack of knowledge. IPS panels can be a gamble but honestly i feel 90% of bad reviews are just people coming off a TN panel and are used to everything being the same. i can 100% confirm jumping from a samsung 24 TN 1080p 60FPS monitor this is a huge improvement and for 350 bucks you cant really go wrong. picture quality is great BLB is non existent in my panel at least and theres no bleed around the panel tested in completely dark room. so if you are sick seeing bad reviews pay more close attention to what they are complaining about. IPS panels are far more different than TN or VA so keep that in mind before you write bad reviews on products before researching

Great monitor for price. Has 4K for consoles and videos and 2k and 1080p with high refresh rates for pc gaming. Stand is a bit weak and I got a blue one which doesn’t match the desk I ordered but it’s whatever since I’m probably going to replace it with a better stand. Will update this review if anything changes after a month or two

27 Inches, 1440p, 144hz. If that doesnt encourage you to buy it then I do not know what will. Ive lived with 24 inch monitors my whole life, in 1080p. I switched to 144hz 2 years ago, and I am never going back to 60. Ever. That solely encouraged me to try a higher resolution at the same frame rate, now Im never going back. 1440p 144hz gaming is something one should experience at least once in their lifetime. Luckily, I experience it every day. Highly recommend.

So far so good, using this on console. The stand it comes with is horrid. The price is almost twice the price here on Amazon, you should definitely look else where for a cheaper price.

I would give 5 stars but my monitor came with 2 dead pixels. other than that it is perfect. Would have preferred display port instead of HDMI tho.

As a basic monitor, its fantastic. At maximum resolution the screen is bright, crystal clear, with much better colors than the one it replaced. It handles games and such without bleed or artifacts, with one condition. It does NOT handle 144Hz, as advertised. More specifically, you can set the resolution to that level, but I get white artifacting (read other, less forgiving reviews for more details.) This is a common problem, though not on every monitor, but Acer has not acknowledged the problem or offered a fix other than return it, and hope you do better with the next one. which is a hassle, leaves you without a monitor, and provides no guarantee the next one will be better. I have set it to 120Hz, and while there is minor artifacting there, its so infrequent for me to say its not worth mentioning. So its a great monitor, but for $350 or so, I cant recommend it without a path from the company to fixing the problem. One more note: HDR is very washed out, but from the little research Ive done, that may be my issue not the monitors. There seem to be times to use HDR and not, which I havent spent a lot of time on figuring out. Im listing it here as a possible issue, but not making it part of my overall review.

In competitive gaming, every frame matters. Introducing Acer"s VG271U gaming monitor the WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution monitor that can keep up with your game play. Through AMD Radeon technology, the game’s frame rate is determined by your graphics card, not the fixed refresh rate of the monitor, giving you a serious competitive edge. Plus, users can enjoy comfortable viewing experience while gaming via flicker less, low dimming and ComfyView display. The design saves space on your desk and lets you place multiple monitors side by side to build a seamless big screen display. (UM.HV1AA.P01).
