I wanted a nice budget 1080p and after reading for a while I decided for this one. Good choice if your want an easy job for your video card if youre in a budget and cannot afford enough juice for 1440p. Pros: - Nice color gamut - Excellent contrast and bright (a bit more than 480nits actually) - Default profiles are nice, but it will be better to use your own. - Big screen, no dead pixels. -165hz refresh rate using the included HDMI cable. - Big panel, nice desing and aesthetics. - VESA mounting. Cons: - You will see pixelated things or even the pixels if you sit too close to it due to the fact 1080p pixel density it too low for a 27 inch monitor. - The monitor stand/support is a bit weak and your monitor may bounce from one side yo another if you hit your deskt accidentally.. but it will do the job. - IPS glow from corners, which can be attenuated lowering bright or sitting a bit far. - Dont expect too much from its speakers, they are quite small and not too powerful but they are enough to help in a no-sound situation. - Freesync premium, not premium pro. By this, I tell you it will have bright flickering (going up and down) if you decide to use HDR in games or even browsing some sites while using freesync.. it may be solved if you use HDR with Freesync off and enhanced sync from the AMD config, which is kinda absurd. - Acer widget app is limited in many ways and it will reset your user profile every time you change to another profile without applying anything which is annoying. - Support site is terrible. Conclusion: - If you can buy a powerful video card for 1440p, go for that res... If you cant, you wont be disappointed at all with this monitor but it will take time to get used to it. Good choice if you want to upgrade later but you need something nice and not too expensive for some time.

I ordered two 27 WQHD for a dual monitor setup and love them. Great picture quality, brightness, and I havent noticed any motion blur or tearing while playing games. I also have not experienced the flickering other reviews have reported. There is, however, a major caveat and the reason why Im only giving three stars - quality control. One of the monitors arrived scratched. The packaging was in perfect condition so I assume this was a factory defect. I exchanged it for a new one and so far the replacement has worked as expected. The second monitor from my original order just developed a line of dead pixels after less than a month of use. I just submitted another replacement request so well see what I get this time. In short, this is a great monitor but youre rolling the dice as Acer QC seems to be lacking.

So Ive had the monitor and the horribly wobbly stand it comes with for about 4 months now. Ive not had any performance issues from the monitor. The stand is wobbly and a bit annoying. I REALLY dont know why Acer couldnt have included a more sturdy and adjustable stand with this monitor like they did with the Predator. Not only is the stand not very stable, its not adjustable either. So Im taking a star off for this poor design oversight. In the event you decide to get a different stand beware as Ive had bad luck trying to get stands that will hold the weight.

This is a great product so far, it is a 120hz 1440p IPS display for under $300. The colors are great and accurate and I have had no issues with frame rates or flickering as some have noted with older models. There is very minimal bleed in the corners as expected with IPS but overall great display. There is slight ghosting but it is not really noticable and you have to spend more to remove this. The stand is complete garbage though so buy a vesa mount if you purchase this pls.

As a basic monitor, its fantastic. At maximum resolution the screen is bright, crystal clear, with much better colors than the one it replaced. It handles games and such without bleed or artifacts, with one condition. It does NOT handle 144Hz, as advertised. More specifically, you can set the resolution to that level, but I get white artifacting (read other, less forgiving reviews for more details.) This is a common problem, though not on every monitor, but Acer has not acknowledged the problem or offered a fix other than return it, and hope you do better with the next one. which is a hassle, leaves you without a monitor, and provides no guarantee the next one will be better. I have set it to 120Hz, and while there is minor artifacting there, its so infrequent for me to say its not worth mentioning. So its a great monitor, but for $350 or so, I cant recommend it without a path from the company to fixing the problem. One more note: HDR is very washed out, but from the little research Ive done, that may be my issue not the monitors. There seem to be times to use HDR and not, which I havent spent a lot of time on figuring out. Im listing it here as a possible issue, but not making it part of my overall review.

I bought my first of this monitor roughly a year ago. I noticed a couple months into having it that it had a dead pixel in the bottom left corner. No big deal - it happens. Having wanted to get a second monitor, anyway, I ordered a new one of the same kind, replaced the one I had with it, and sent the original in for repair. It took about six weeks, with COVID and all, but it eventually came back. While I was waiting, however, the replacement unit developed a dead pixel in the middle of the screen. It was quick enough that Amazon was able to ship me a replacement, which Ive been running for about a month now. Now THAT replacement has a dead pixel, also in the middle of the screen, and its outside the return period this time. Im at my wits end with these things. The picture is great for the price, the HDR is nice, and itd be a huge step up from what I was using if they didnt ALL have dead pixels.

At the time I purchased this monitor the price for the specs it offers is great, there arent a lot of options at this price, size, panel(IPS), refresh rate and resolution(2k). Also, I have had luck with acer panels on not having dead pixels, and low IPS glow cons: VRB 1ms response time and overdrive are just for marketing - VRB is better than a asus monitor of around the same price but still does not look good, it reduces brightness and makes the screen flicker - Overdrive maxed overshoots pixels leaving a trace on moving images Having any of this two options on can make your eyes hurt or give you headache I still gave it 5 stars because is hard to find a monitor with these specifications and price.

This Monitor is exactly what i wanted. I’m using it for a second gaming screen and the picture quality and brightness is way better then the other screen i have. i would prefer having two of these. Amazing Monitor, i would suggest this to anyone who is looking for one.

I was very skeptical about this monitor based on some of the reviews. But I have zero issues with this monitor. It works flawlessly and the color out of the box is perfect. I don’t have any of the IPS glow that people talk about. No dead pixels. No flickering. Absolutely beautiful monitor. I’m coming from 1080p so the extra screen space takes a bit to get used to, and the text is quite a bit smaller than on 1080p. Overall, I’d order another one without second thought. Sure, the stand could be a bit more sturdy but I’m not moving my monitors around so it’s a non issue for me. A VESA Mount would help with that if it’s an issue for you. I absolutely love this monitor and it’s a complete pleasure to game on

Everything was fine for about a day, Started turning off by itself randomly. Thought it was just the hdmi or the power outlet I was using. It wasnt now the monitor turns on only when it wants to & If it does only for 10 min, more or less. Until shuts off. Not sure if I just received a defective one or what but kind of a bummer.
