It comes in a very nice packaging, I was very excited when opening it. It seems to be very well made and professional looking. Unfortunately mine came damaged and I do not have the option to exchange it for a working model through Amazon

Reviewing the 2022 version, i9-12900H, RTX 3080 Ti, PT516-52s-99EL, since multiple versions (and years…) are currently lumped under one listing.

This laptop is extremely fast and great for gaming. It has a colorful light-up keyboard and handles all the basic web browsing and document management needs but also packs quite a punch when it comes to playing games. Battery life is excellent and the built-in speakers sound great. Very powerful and functional gaming laptop.

It has an on-boot feature where it plays this loud sound and does some silly RGB keyboard animation. The sound can be disabled through BIOS and/or the PredatorSense app. The RGB keyboard animation CANNOT. This animation occurs on-boot and whenever the laptop wakes up. This basically ruins the laptop for me.

Came a lot sooner than expected. Has everything that is needed to do the task(s) at hand.

I absolutely love this gaming laptop! It’s a monster, I’ve played a lot of games with it so far. Gears 5, Forza Horizon 5, and many other titles. I play a lot of vr as well! It did excellent paired with a oculus quest 2. The laptop is perfect for gaming or work. It has all the speed you need and the software pre installed is very helpful too. Honestly can’t go wrong with this price and with the 3080ti edition, they offer a free NVMe slot! It’s actually not bad getting into it and putting a 2TB storage upgrade. I’m going to be away for home for a while and will update my review whenever I have it on a plane/airport. So far at home, it is a great laptop for home use!

I’m a casual gamer with a nostalgic affinity for some older games (MoH, original CoD series, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., etc.), but I also play World of Tanks and Tom Clancy’s The Division (1 and 2). My standards are no where near the finicky standards of hardcore players, but I do want a machine that can smoothly handle the high-end graphics of the more modern games I chose to play. While I though the ACER PREDATOR TRITON 500 would be a step down from the ASUS ROG I was using, I have come to love the Triton 500, but I would recommend the 1 TB version over the 512GB.

You will need a extra fan because the computer get too hot and the cooling fans dont keep it cool. After a year the power cord wont stay in the computer slot. very poor design
