For some reasoning, Im having a moment with pencil sharpeners. Ive been trying out all kinds, and this Afmat is awesome. Its electric, so youll need to have a place to plug it in, but it has a small footprint, about the size of a cup. Its just so darn satisfying to put an unsharpened pencil in and have it come out with a long, sharp point! Its a meaty grinder, you know its having a good time. There is a bit of force required to push the pencil in and engage the motor. I thought it might hold my pencil captive until it auto-stopped, but Ive been able to pull a pencil out and check the progress whenever I wanted to. Its also satisfying to watch the cup fill with shavings. I dont know, does anyone else get that ASMR joy out of sharpening pencils?!

I was pleasantly surprised at how sharp (if that’s what you want) the point could get, and the smoothness of the wood part, other sharpeners don’t leave as a smooth of a surface as this one did!

This product has worked great. Sharpens quickly and easily without breaking the lead. Sharpens colored pencils well also.

I am a teacher and normally sharpeners break the colored pencil lead over and over. This sharpener sharpened them very quickly and perfect. Highly recommend.

I use this in my classroom. It sharpens quickly. Emptying was tricky but I figured it out.
