I am a math teacher and I am using this for sharpening coloring pencils. It is awesome so far. It is light in weight, so I prefer to not let all students use it. I only use it for coloring pencils.

I needed a good sharpener that would work on colored pencils, after reading the reviews on this one I decided to purchase. This sharpener works great on colored pencils and I sharpened my entire box of them in one sitting upon unboxing the sharpener.

We’ve had this for two months now, and it has been great for our family. It stops automatically so it is easy for our kids to use. Happy with the purchase.

The build is nice, seems like a sturdy build. The auto-stop feature is nice as well. It produces a nice point. However, it does not expose the lead on one side, so you still cannot use your pencil. The attached photo is a #2 pencil that was brand new. The sharpener gladly ate up half the pencil as I tried over and over to get a point that I could write with. Trying a different pencil (different brand, even) produced the exact same result. If it cannot sharpen a pencil and expose the lead, its a bit useless.

I’ve been through several that have short, lopsided points. Use them once and you’re low on lead. This one sharpens every bit as well as the one you used in grade school! Buy it!
