I used the AmazonBasics Hard Carrying protective case for my western digital my passport ultra metal addition. It fits fine douse not have protective insulation on the inside of the case. As you can see in the picture sizing is exact for the hard drive. There is also a spot for the wire for the hard drive.

In addition to great protection, I really like the fact that this carrying case was just the right size for my WD 2TB My Passport Ultra portable external hard drive.
